Slot in a dilemma - Gallardo snub

Arne Slot agonising over Leeds manager offer as Feyenoord chase treble

Arne Slot is finding it very difficult to leave Feyenoord after Leeds United registered their interest in the Dutch manager.

The Independent reported on Thursday that the 44-year-old is deeply considering the proposal from the Whites to succeed Jesse Marsch at Elland Road after the American was sacked after less than a year in charge

According to reports, one of Leeds Premier League rivals are interested in appointing Feyenoord head coach Arne Slot.

Marcelo Gallardo has turned down a formal offer from Leeds United, according to Argentinian outlet TyC Sports.

The report states that Gallardo is in no rush to return to management this term because he wants to start with his own project at the start of next season.

Gallardo also reportedly has concerns over the language barrier. Although the use of a translator could be an effective solution, he feels he has to know the English language in order to form a stronger bond with the players.

I've heard from a pretty reliable source it's gong to be Gerrard

Please. Gerrard getting Leeds relegated would be amazing.

Well if it is Gerrard then I hope he has Gary Mac' alongside him which I can then envisage and see it being a good enough appointment to keep us up.

I can see one final push to try get Iraola early next week and then maybe Gerrard is the fallback option.

I think if it was to be Gerrard I wouldn't be handing out a long contract and in absence of Beale you'd want an experienced head next to him.Gary Mac would fit the bill.

Garry Mac was with him at Villa and he still did a shiiiiit job.

That's true. It is not ideal that's for sure.

It would be a daft appointment. Surely Leeds could get a decent interim manager until the summer.

No to Gerrard. 100%. I couldn't support his style of football.

Marcello or we stick with our interim coaches.

Results not going great for us today - Wolves and Leicester get 3pts, West Ham get a point. Need Newcastle to beat Bournemouth in the late kick-off.

What about Poch or Tuchel?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They're both in Leeds. Fight to the death to see who gets the job.

Would you want a defeated dead guy as manager though?"

I seems we've just tried that and failed!..
