Following a routine post-operation check in Italy yesterday, Antonio Conte will remain at his family home to recover from his recent surgery.
Health is the most important consideration and everyone at the Club wishes him well.
Cristian Stellini will assume First Team duties.
Some people speculating that this is the last we'll see of him but I'm not quite there yet. regardless hopefully he rests up and makes a smooth recovery - never seemed like he was ready to be back at work.
Conte back out on medical leave

The stress of managing Spurs…
The stress caused by the defence…
Coupled with the recent deaths of his friends, have obviously taken there toll…
Poor bloke… I honestly think we are cursed!!

Lets just pull the rip cord now and move on from the mess.. Hope Conte goes back to Italy, gets healthy, gets his mind right after the death of his friends, spends time with his family and goes back to Juve or Milan when the time is right.
He aint gonna commit to Spurs and we, quite rightly are not gonna back him as a result.
It was a marriage made in hell from Day 1. Arsenal throwing it away and United, Chelsea and Newcastle all in a state of flux papered over so many cracks last season.
Time for Conte, Paratici to go. ENIC to sell up and for Spurs to start fresh.
Just my opinion but Conte is now toxic at Spurs. Our best chance of silverware this season is for him not to come back.
Thanks For "not a lot" Antonio... your brand of football will not be missed

Levy is a bit stuck isn’t he? Does he really want to appoint a new manager on a potentially long term contract at a time when we are actively looking to flog the club.
Might be better to wait until summer and then all of Conte/Enic and especially Levy can go and this club can have a real fresh start.

Poch or Stellini should agree for a 6 month deal. Then let's see where we are at end of season. Meanwhile we line up Glasner as first choice in summer.

Poch on a 6 month deal? Are you kidding? He doesn't need to prove himself. His 5 years turning us into a side that very nearly won the league and the CL is enough of an audition, don't you think?
No point in keeping Stellini on if Conte is going. Nothing would change and he's not a manager. No more purgatory, please. We need to find a direction and stick to it, preferably with a front foot, project manager, like Poch.

We need to strike while the iron is hot before he comes back!
I do wish him well though.

If it is then forget it. He'll just get another defensive coach in. It'll be a total waste of time. My hunch is though that with the charges hanging over Paratici's head, Levy will takeover the recruitment of any new manager give how catastrophically badly Fab did the last time. I mean Conte, Gattuso, Fonseca, Nuno and then back to Conte. It was an absolute laughing stock. He won't let that happen again. Levy knows that his only play should Conte leave is to bring back a crowd favourite. even if it goes badly, fans will let him off the hook.

If Dier ans Davies throw Poch under the bus then inwouldnt want Poch to be around whilst they are. Prefer a Poch to take his time to see if Levy has changed.

I think this is where we're heading... will it work ? who knows. Wouldn't be surprised if Conte has found out we've been talking to Poch and this recovery period is now the perfect window for him to slide away on the quiet... If we miss top 4 he doesn't get blamed and the club can fall back on all the upheaval (Beyond their control) for a sub par season..... everybody moves on while saving face
