Whilst so many of our players are doing well at the moment, I wanted to discuss what we make of Luke Shaw currently.
His defending is sound and his use of the ball going forward is brilliant.
For me, he is world class, and probably the best LB in the Prem right now, if not Europe.
Luke Shaw

World class??? Ffs what has the game come too. Seems every team has 4-5 world class players now....
World class isn't having a good run of form every now and again. It isn't being OK with the odd exceptional performance. It's being the best in your position globally on a consistent basis, week in, week out. Season after season.
If it's the same Shaw that was shocking the last few seasons....yeah....def not world class 😂

While I agree that world class is thrown around too much, you clearly haven't watched Shaw if you think he has been shocking the last few seasons.

Robertson has been the best LB in the PL over a long period of time, I will agree a lot down to his role at Liverpool as he's never shown a particularly high level for Scotland and Tierney has been better in the national team.
He will need to leave Arsenal in the summer to play though. Interested to see who goes for him, a talented sick note.
Newcastle?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He wont need to leave Arsenal.
He is very different to Zinchencko and there will be games that KT will be better suited to. plus wiht the amount of games player play now they need two LB's no way Zinchenko can play up to nearly 70 games a season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He will if he wants to be a first team regular and going from what we know about him he will want to be

If they want to compete in both the champ league and the league next year then their back up players will still play abou 20-30 games a season which is about all KT can handle a season (add internationals into the bargaining and thats 25-35 games a season)

What is with our fans and the habit of comparing our players and hailing them as best in the world? Arsenal fans have this small peepee syndrome

I think nearly all fans do this to their own team's players occasionally
Which is why you don't laud up any Man United players. In fact you think they are all crap.

I have no idea if he is the best in Lancashire, let alone the world.
But I'm very pleased we have him. When he first arrived at the club we all thought he was wonderful, because he was. Then he had an horrific leg break that a year out of his career, and getting over it mentally another year.
Then, in terms of improving players, he was badly managed.
Then we got Erik, and voilà.
