Bellingham

Would you blame him if he went to City or Chelsea over us?

Better wage packet, both clubs in a better position than we are with proper owners who want to spend money and improve the squad and, in City's case, guarantees to win trophies year on year.

Guess we'll have to settle for some mickey mouse player like Fraud-Prowse

Thoughts?

Mbappe is earning £1m a week so they say. That's a pipe dream that ain't happening and nor should it. That's something that could totally destroy our dressing room.

So because that is a huge issue I'd choose Bellingham all day long. Money no object and no wage issue then it's Obviously Mbappe.

Going to be very difficult for them to avoid one. Liverpool and City will definitely be in for him, Chelsea probably too just because they're Chelsea. Doubt United can afford to go for him currently, unless we got rid of a lot of deadwood, as out FFP situation is supposed to be tight atm
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah it will be difficult to avoid. Obviously the player’s desire could impact on how any bidding war plays out. Dortmund in the past have just stuck to a set fee they desire, so it could well come down to who the player prefers.

With us it depends on who buys the club. The ffp issue isn’t as grave as that awful Jamie Jackson article would have you believe. We’ll be getting rid of deadwood anyway because of contracts running down and players that will want to move on to get games.

Who buys the club and, as a result, whether we have the liquidity to make a signing like Bellingham will have a bigger impact on the financial ability to sign him than worrying about ffp, from my understanding.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
See, I didn't have a clue on whether a takeover would have any impact on our ability to spend, as wasn't sure whether our interest repayments etc were factored into FFP calculations.

So glad to hear that. Problem now is shifting the leeches.

I think by getting into the CL and having new owners that take away the debt and interest repayments, United’s revenues that can be invested in the playing staff jump about £130m or something stupid like that.

Liverpool still favorite for 4th place for me. But I’m assuming Spurs won’t win today.

Facking hell fans are so reactionary. Not long ago this was one of the best teams in the world. Now it's all so negative and players who were "world class" not long ago suddenly are Sunday League players.

Football is and was always a psychological sport. It has to do with building confidence.

Next season there is a new beginning for every team. Getting Bellingham or not depends on so many factors but probably most on money. I dont know if Liverpool is able to pay over 100M for him. Otherwise he is just another case of Erling Haaland.
