Eric Ten Haag got his tactics spot on.
Was really impressed with Rashford he's come on leaps and bounds under the new boss. He's looking like the player that we were expecting to be when he first jumped on to the scenes.
On the other hand Newcastle should be applauded for getting to a first final for the first time in years. Playing such a big team like Man U in a final and a first final in god knows how many years for Toon is an achievement in itself.
On the whole both sides have done brilliant so far this season and I hope they continue to do well for the sake of football.
Best team won

I agree the best team won but I doubt Ten Haag would say he got his tactics spot on.
I’d argue Howe set a Newcastle up better in the first half, they had a lack of quality in the final third though. Could easily have been 2-0 either way at half time.
Second half, no chance Newcastle were going to score the goals needed as they struggle to break down teams even at the best of times at the mo, let alone when they’re 2-0 down and the opponent can sit deep and counter attack.
Think it was more a moment of individual play won that - the cross and the header for the first goal we’re both superb.

I think Ten haag got his Tactics spot on.
Let Newcastle hoof and poof and the hit them on the break.
Been 2-0 up at half time was a dream for Ten Haag. Because United just bored us for the rest of the game not letting Newcastle have much chance of scoring or shots on target.
Thought it was well thought out tactical management from Ten Haag.

They huffed, and they puffed, but it wouldn't go in
And United held on for the winny-win-win

Exactly, it was a dream as neither side deserved to be 2-0 up really. That’s not getting your tactics spot on.

Newcastle were the best team first half, and for me, ETH got it all wrong.
United weren’t reading the game well, were too frequently looking for early balls over the top which the Newcastle CBs were eating up comfortably, had no control in the middle of the park, and looked far, far too eager when they needed to be slowing the game down.
The goals came against the run of play and neither was a result of the gameplan playing out.
A lot of luck and the difference in the quality of the players in front of goal made the difference.
Second half was a different game, obviously.

Yeah I agree. Utd were lucky the first half went as it did and they managed it well from there

If you have hardly any efforts on target in 90 mins you’re unlikely to be successful

Yup. They had a few times where it just needed a better decision in the final third but I thought Wilson and Almiron in particular were poor today.
