I don't know how many of you know this game? Despite it being available for a while now on the original PSVR, as well as Quest and PC. It was not something I ever played till now.
I'm not that much into shooters, but the reviews were positive, and thought it might be something I could quickly dip into if I fancied letting off steam.
The gameplay is pretty simple, aim your gun and shoot the hordes of Zombies coming your way. They can come from all directions, jumping down from buildings, windows, through doors, even crawling on the ceiling. literally anywhere.
When I first played this game the old motion sickness reared it's head. I hadn't played VR in about a year, But I was wise enough to come out and play other games that I was more comfortable with. Surprisingly Resident Evil Village I was able to play far longer. But I was still careful easing my way back into VR.
I recently gave After the fall another go, and I played my first game on my own with ai support making a four player team. This time with my VR legs feeling far less wobbly. I had great fun wielding my pistol, Zombies going down with one or two well aimed shots, making me feel invincible as I mowed down zombie wave after zombie wave.
After having a few goes, I decided to give online 4 player co op a go. I soon realised I wasn't as hard as I thought I was. These guys were packing some serious heat which made my pistols seem almost redundant. Still they were great guys, even though only one spoke English, and welcomed me into the challenge which was set on a far harder difficulty than I had been playing on.
The Zombies kept coming, and were much harder to kill, My pistols now no longer up to the task, with me panicking to reload.the only thing stopping me being over run were my teams mates. but even they had their hands full, but still kind enough to revive me when they had the chance as I met my maker.
Despite their firepower, we did not finish the level and we all met our fates to the Zombie hordes. Despite four more attempts we were struggling to finish the level, with me feeling more like a hinderance than a help. My invincibility well and truly humbled.
I decided I needed better weapons and left the squad, even though they had been nothing but supportive. But all in all an enjoyable blast for £25.
It is definitely something I will be playing more of.

Why do all the games have the floating hands, and not arms?

It could be down to simply saving processing, but also making the arms move properly is quite a challenge. There are games that do, but they can get a little out of kilter. To be honest yo don't really think about it.
