Arctic air is expected to bring heavy snowfall, cold winds and icy conditions to all areas of the UK this coming week. Arsenal head to better weather and the Estádio José Alvalade on Thursday, kicking off at 1745 UK time, knowing that they have avoided the worst of the weather warning.
Meteorologist Honor Criswick said: "We are expecting very cold conditions and snow showers over the next few days across London. Temperature wise, we could possibly see lows of -20C so it's going to be feeling quite cold. Potentially we could see some of the coldest temperatures ever recorded."

The water surrounding the Titanic when it sank on April 15, 1912 was 28°F. The SS Californian traveled through the same icy water close to where the Titanic sank. Captain Stanley Lord provided the water temperature to authorities while tracking it.
