PLYMOUTH ARGYLE v DERBY COUNTY League 1 # 35 |
Home Park 2000 Wednesday 7th March 2023 |
Disappointing on Saturday as the Rams struggled to smash home their superiority in a game that looked well in control against Shrewesbury. Two daft goals given away with a wall wellshort of mortar...and bricks. Poor. |
We looked to be back to our decent selves v Shrewsbury but our frailties came through as we failed to capitalise on an average Salop side. That 10/15 minute spell after half time cannot happen again. |
Not sure if we're still in the slump but I don't want any Manager of the Month awards...... |
Injury news - Max Bird still isnt available as isn't James (?) Chester |
Plymouth is a stern test - I was hoping that their slump would have started in earnest. They currently occupy second place in League One ahead of this fixture, 10 points above the Rams. They can score goals for fun and have lost only once at home in the league this season. |
Just need to go out and do what we can do - we know we can do it because I've seen it .........and be brave. |
Team news:- Wildsmith (GK), Forsyth (C), Hourihane, Cashin, Barkhuizen, McGoldrick, Mendez-Laing, Smith, Roberts, White, Knight |
Subs:- McGee (GK), Collins, Dobbin, Sibley, Springett, Thompson, Davies |
The other team:- Burton (GK), Gillesphey, Houghton, Wilson, Butcher, Edwards (C), Hardie, Mayor, Mumba, Azaz, Lonwijk..... Subs: Bolton, Ennis, Miller, Waine, Wright, Matete, Parkes |
