Sad state of affairs that fans are demanding the manager's sack and yet this manager has not been backed at all. Same with Poch. At the height us going for title challenges, Levy did not put a single penny into the team to replace Dembele or freshen up the squad. The same thing with Jose. The same thing with Conte. They both asked for specific players and got cheap knock-offs who ended up being shifted out fast. Conte refuses to play Danjuma like he did with Spence, because these are players Levy got at a discount price and not what the manager asked for.
Priceless blame the manager when he is being given pittance?

200m pittance....ok

Not yet.
Don’t forget his contact runs out at the end of the season, so it’s probably beneficial to both parties to wait until then.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I would have thought that regardless of his ideas about next season, Conte would be desperate to tie up fourth place in the league.
If I was Levy, I’d be thinking that he has the tools and the ability to do it, and the best option would be sticking with him until the summer (unless the wheels come off, which is unlikely).
Sacking him now would likely be kissing that fourth spot goodbye, IMO, regardless of who was brought in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Most the fans couldn’t give a damn about 4th - it’s Levy that cares.
Conte will have a big bonus tied to finishing fourth - hence why we jibbed off Sheff United away to concentrate on only getting beaten by 1 at Molinuex.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was talking about Levy and Conte. Not the fans.

Conte only spent £155m in the summer.

Very few managers get everything they want in a given transfer window. Difference is that some are willing/able to be flexible and work with what they've got. Conte is not.
You're not wrong to criticise Levy for his usual bargain-bucket dealings, but it's completely wrong to let Conte off the hook for his own part in the mess

Levy`s wet dream is a stadium full of consumers, not a stadium full of proper fans who will voice their displeasure.
Levy wants the stadium full of the prawn sandwich brigade, those who want a day out and who are happy to spend a fortune on food, drink and merchandise.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Proper fans don't turn their backs on the club when things are going a bit rough. It's embarrassing to be honest.
If you genuinely think that by not going to games it will make things better for the club, you've proper lost your mind. You're better off going and voicing your dissent if that's the message you want to get across.

With all due respect your talking bollox. Levy won’t give a damn if he has 61,000 punters screaming at him in the stands - he will care if it is only 11,000.
It’s not like we’re down there fighting for our lives and need to stick together to get through it. We’re only in danger of finishing 6th - that’s the worst case outcome, so absolutely staying away as protest is a legitimate tactic.
Finally look at Richarlison - that guy has played at Watford for terrible owners and manager, played at Everton for terrible owners and managers - yet where is the one place he comes and moans publicly - that’s how badly run we are, Kane has been covering the cracks for years

It's basically a game of chess between Levy and Conte until the end of the season. You like that one don't you Karen 🤣.

But that's the point, it won't work. The stadium will always be more or less full but with less "proper" fans. Levy wins and the team gets a lack lustre support.
People screaming at him does have an effect and is heard by a much wider audience if it's done in the stadium.
For the record, I don't really condone that type of behaviour and I've never liked booing the team either (although they've definitely tried my patience in recent weeks) but it feels like a legitimate tactic at the moment.

Day trippers will come whilst Harry and Son are here, we’re half decent and there is CL football - but those days are nearly done and soon enough those empty seats won’t be snapped up by tourists - they will instead go to Arsenal, Chelsea and at this rate West Ham/Fulham

Yeah, I get that but there will always be a draw and the hardcore fans who go come what may.
Anyway, whatever, let's see how the no shows pan out. I think we're both in agreement that something needs to be done.
