A big one today. 5th v 3rd. Make the most of it as the last Saturday game until 15th April and the last Saturday home game until 22nd April v Shrewsbury. A double header of big games for Bolton with Sheffield Wednesday away next Friday before the 16 day break to Wembley. Form wise Ipswich after a really bad run are back chasing automatic promotion having won the last 4. Bolton losing 2 and drawn 1 of the last 3 away games have realistically fallen out of the automatic promotion race. Accumulating enough points to finish in the top 6 is the priority. The home form remains good having won the last 5 at home and Bolton are unbeaten in 12 at home in all competitions since being knocked out of the cup by Barnsley. Bolton beat Ipswich 2-0 at home in January with James Trafford making his debut. Team news. Looks like Jerome and adeboyejo are fit so some selection choices to make up top. Still missing long term Bodvarsson and Iredale,mj Williams and Johnston are close to being fit. Hopefully to be involved for the cup final and the last 8 league game run in. Kick Off 3pm.

I see Iles is saying what I wrote yesterday. Too many young players who are lacking experience.
Instead of bringing in young loanees to learn their trade at our expense, Evatt should be looking for good experienced players who won't crumble under pressure and who can manage a busy schedule.
If you are bringing in young loanees, you must be certain that they are up to the job. We have a youth team to monitor that we can watch and learn if they are good enough.
Also, Evatt's excuse for not playing John was that he had played two hard games and it was tactical. I'm sure that John could have managed to play after having no mid-week game. As usual, he does his usual tinkering when it would have been better to play John at home.
Evatt has questions to answer but he doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes.

When it's Wednesday on Friday you know you are in for a bad week.

We got Cameron Jerome in for a bit of experience but he's barely been fit. Shoretire and mbete are clearly very inexperienced. I think missing dapo, iredale and Johnston injuries plus not having mj and Thomason fit for a while then Morley and Dempsey are playing every game. Sheehan hasn't been that good since he got back and Lee not been fit enough really to play that many minutes. A lot of issues to sort.

The Sleepout article in the Ben.
Not one player, past present or future is pictured or mentioned as kipping out pitch side.
Not good enough is it.

Bit of a dilemma for Friday night.
I've invites for two bashes out. Sat at home watching iFollow doesn't look a good choice.
Ask anybody what a Friday night is for, how many would say sat at home watching iFollow.

Is it me, since we last mentioned the quality of the Ben. It seems to have gone down another notch.
Front, back and inside pages are more nothing fillers than real news and information.
I can't see the Ben office move saving them much in the long term.
Hopefully Neil gets the clubs digital channel up and running this summer. A good wind should see the Ben blaming the fall in Wanderers readers for the Ben finally shutting up shop.

On the one hand, a win on Friday against Wednesday would be a real morale booster; if we lose, it will spell disaster as I doubt, we will recover from it.
We had better cross everything for a win.

Seems to be more news on the official bwfc website than the Beano today. Mj and Johnston back in training. May not be ready for the Sheffield game but the final and the run in. 28000 tickets sold for Wembley so far which is brilliant. Also some b team friendlies arranged. All read without those awful pop ups and subscribe begging. Very refreshing.
