Should we be concerned about our current position in the league? The answer is obviously yes. A massive gap has appeared between 11th and 12th and there are now 9 teams in the bottom half who are contenders for relegation, with only 5 points separating them.
As for us, we have 11 games left and are averaging exactly a point a game and after a little sprint up the table, we've won only one of our last 5 league games. Seven of our 'competitors' have a game in hand over us.
We have a new coach who has lifted us off the bottom, but he still can't rectify our main problem...scoring goals. Along with a couple of others, we have only scored 20 goals from 27 matches.
6 home games and 5 away are now left and out of those we face 5 other teams who are in that group of 9. Our next two appear to be crucial, home to Leeds and away at Forest. If we can get at least four points from those, it should calm the nerves.
I have to say that our style of play is encouraging, but if we cannot score goals from our overall play, then we could easily be dragged down into the mire of the bottom three.
I think we'll be ok, but it'll only take our poor current run to continue and the nails will get mighty short.
Relegation ???

We have scored 8 goals in our last 8 league games. Take off the 3 we got against Liverpool and it leaves 5 from 7. At that rate your assumption that we can score more than the games we have left goes out the window. We also seem to do badly against teams around us.

No idea where that came from Wolfgang, but it's wrong. Our last 5 league games we have got 4 points, not 7. We've only scored 3. W1 D1 L3. After a very good start when our new coach arrived, we've gone backwards over the last few weeks.

I think we are a better team now than a few months ago and the goals will come if we have a settled front line.
If Raul plays the rest of the season i think he is good for five.
