Obviously its game we should win. We have the better players, in better form, had a week off (while saints played mid-week) & have the chance to go 3rd so plenty of motivation.
Clearly none of that matters where Spurs are concerned, and a turgid 2-0 defeat wouldn't shock me but surely, we'll win this one right ????
I'll go with a tight 2-1 win

I can see us dropping points, we have been shiete away from home for a while and Southampton will be well up for it. It is the kind of game where we have a habit of failing.
We need to keep Ward-Prowse quiet, he is their main threat, set pieces in particular, so no giving away stupid free kicks in range of goal.

Conte should go immediately if we lose this - he has had a week to prepare whereas Southampton have played twice since we last did.
They are fecking awful as well, the new man has solidified them at the back somewhat but they don’t score more than one goal a game and often do t score at all.
JWP is the only player I would take from that Southampton side and that’s only because he can take a set piece.
Kane and Son have outrageous records against these lot - Kanes is ridiculous, something like 15 goals and 8 assists in 15 games. Richarlison tends to do well against the saints as well.
Last 10 meetings against them away - 5 wins, 3 draws, 2 losses
Prediction 1-0 Saints - it’s got Spursy written all over it, ENIC Dier to forget which way we are shooting and goofing one in to the back of the net.

It's a game we should win but might have our banana skin boots on. At this stage of the season I think I'd rather be playing some team mid-table than one at the bottom.
Newcastle putting the pressure on as well. I guess they may be in the top 4 race for the long haul.

With Pool and Newcastle having games in hand and they won last night. It really puts the pressure on us and they well and truly after us now. Brighton outside chance too.
This is game we have to win. How many times have we been here before. It’s got failure written all over it. With Conte ball you got no chance of predicting anything…
Who knows just praying for spurs win.

Southampton are awful, lost to 10 man wolves, cut open with ease time and time again vs 10 man Utd. Despite Winston claiming they were really good they really do struggle outside of JWP set pieces. Very poor vs Brentford losing 0-2 at home. Kane should have a field day.

If newcastle dropped points last night I’d have fancied us as the pressure to win would have been less
Gutted to see they won (checked score at one point and they were losing)
Pressure firmly on us and right before an international break against an awful team battling for their lives away from home
What could go wrong ….

More so than ever every game is a journey into the unknown this season
I hoped after the efficient (if unspectacular) victories against West Ham and Chelsea we were playing ourselves into some form but then the woeful results against Sheff U, Wolves and Milan followed?
It's all there for us today, we are playing against the bottom team and unlike them we've had a clear week going into the match.
If we don't get a result today there will be no excuses and Conte should be sacked but I'm not sure Levy sees it that way.

I think this is a massive game today for conte
International break is the perfect time to pull the plug on him for anything other than 3 points
We have nothing but top 4 to play for and if we can’t get 3 points today with him I’d rather try without him

Balls out, we win today and then Lose at Everton after the break.
I am very worried about the “Spursy” but Southampton are that schitt that we should still be able to beat them whilst simultaneously shooting ourselves in the foot. Kane loves scoring against these lot and their fans will be on their back quickly today - narrow win.
Everton away - I’m certain we lose this 1-0. I’ve felt like that for 2 weeks now, it just makes total sense to me. I am definitely having a tenner on that. Corner, Dier outmuscled by Onana/Tarkowski. Richarlison misses about 7 sitters and Kane and Son are kept quiet.

I don't think Levy is going to pull the plug even if we lose today, when top 4 would still very much be achievable. I do sort of agree though if we lose today then we just aren't getting anywhere with Conte. Anytime you think we may have cracked it, we drop points or lose the next game.
Saints, Everton and Bournemouth in the next 4 games, then it will be Newcastle away. So that's what should be on paper 3 winnable games before we play Newcastle. If we are off the pace by the time we face Newcastle then I think Levy will have lost patience.
