Normal Service Resumed midweek for Colwill

The composure in defending. The line-breaking passes through the lines and over the top. The proactiveness. The serene confidence & nonchalance in his actions translated from academy to senior football. Glorious!

Almost like captain of junior England side...Colwill didn't need the second loan spell in the first place, ready to jump straight into senior set-up making statements (akin to Reece) and Cucurella signing unnecessary.
Who could have seen that coming. I certainly would have never seen that coming!

TIMELY REMINDER that Colwill was on the verge of leaving permanently for a pittance, thanks to Tuchel (prioritising / favouring other players), before Bath intervened.
Failings after failings. Sackable offence upon sackable offence. Major cardinal sin.

Nothing worse than short-sighted managers (and so-called supporters alike), who have no clue about these young players upside developing but see fit to pass baseless judgements / gaumless decisions', which set the club back. Perplexing.

The positive detail to note is Potter had huge plans for Colwill, to be totally convinced Brighton was the right move.
Potter was the determining factor in Colwill joining Brighton, over the likes of Palace, Everton, Arsenal, Leicester, Southampton on loan.

Leicester & Southampton notably presented strongly...
Leicester twice made the most concerted effort to sign Colwill initially during Championship loan spell mid-season & then end of the season (replacing a certain injured Wesley Fofana).

Southampton - The appeal of returning to his birth city (and joining his chum Livramento) wasn't sufficient to persuade him, which is huge...considering Southampton are the most prominent for being one of the best providing youth with platform to develop, perform and succeed.

A place in the England squad beckons, upon his return to Chelsea.
Should have been in the squad over Dier, regardless...

Chumps like Dier and Maguire getting picked over the likes of Colwill and Southgate has the cheek to sit and cry about young English players being blocked by foreigners
