Confidence players

How often are we going to trot out this tired phrase to excuse players who can’t lay off a pass, get a shot on target or put the ball in the back of the net? Half of our team apparently suffer from this affliction yet we still hold them dear to our hearts. We have great dead ball situations and confidence players who balloon it over the bar. We have Bamford squealing like a slapped bee hatch because he got tugged on the edge of the box. Another confidence player. And don’t start me on Aaronson, but I think he will improve once his testicles drop. As for fat boy McKinnie, I’m buying shares in Krispy Crème and Pizza Hut after watching him slobber all over the pitch. Meanwhile, we have Rod, who in 45 minutes of football since breaking his tibia, missed a couple chances before putting away our fourth today in clinical fashion. Rasmus, notching his first goal, looked like a proper Viking once he came on. And Jimmy was a handful, lovely ball control, tracking back and setting up Rod with a deft pass. No confidence players in that lot, just solid pros doing the job they are paid to do. Cold showers and ten mile runs for the rest of them. That’ll give them all the confidence they need.

Confidence is a huge thing, especially with strikers, you read about the goals drying up and then suddenly something clicks and they will go on a hot streak.
The confidence of teams towards the bottom of the table will greatly suffer because of where they are.
Does it ever help to boo players, I can see a situation where the confidence of the team becomes so fragile that they become scared to death to play at ER.

Stoopo and LIW, give me a break. These are the most pampered human beings outside of the Royal family. They can have a kiss and a cuddle if they put the ball in the net, though you may have to explain to Harrison which net that is.

This is the Harrison that has now scored 29 goals for Leeds?

One of the worst thread I’ve read on here.

There human beings, everyone is different.

Some players need a kick up the a@se, some need a shoulder round them.

Fergie, was a master at it.

Every says he was a task master, but cantona, went into a stand, and Fly kicked a fan. What did he do, flew to france and begged him to stay, he knew how important he was. He let him get away with stuff, he wouldnt with others.

Some players, are confident players, it is just their personality.

You must know people, who struggle, when things arent going well. Then are flying when life is good.

I mean come on, cold shower and a 10 mile run. It aint going to help anyone, its utter Bull.

Next you’ll be saying, they are getting paid fortunes, so nothing should effect them.

said it many many times, some players do not get to grips with the pl. they have the skill but it is too much for their prissy life, other knuckle down and want to be the best they can. so many reasons why great players don't settle

I challenge anyone to find an article on this board worse than this one.

I mean, don't get me wrong, we have had some absolute peaches on here... but I just don't think you could find an article as bad as this one, and then argue that it is worse.

Oh come on, Mattyp, it's not that good. And I challenge you to write a thread that gets 7 one-star responses. I feel quite proud of that.
Now go and join Stoopo and LIW on a 10 mile run, and wash your mouth out with carbolic soap. Honestly!

Plus two assists and two goals in his last two games.

Interesting news about his near transfer to Leicester. It seems Radz was wanting to sell, he was half way through his medical then the Yanks heard about the move and told Radz to get him back to Leeds pronto. £25m reported.

He now seems to have put it all behind him and looks like he’s going to be a major player for us over the next two months.

Hopefully he gets a new contract as well.

For me Harrison is one off our better players, sometimes off days have a lot to do with how the team are playing as one, and the way it's been this season it's more than one that haven't been getting it right!..

So, 4 goals scored with 4 different goal scorers, that shouldn't do the confidence any harm at all!..

4 stars from me…one for each goal.

what a silly comment. 'Pampered' - you've no idea what an individual is dealing with ffs, regardless of how much they earn.
