For me, the main problem at Spurs is that it’s just to easy for players to perform badly. Conte alluded to it and it’s been this way as long as I can remember.
We aren’t traditionally a winning club, the owners have never really been that interested in making the club a winning club so the players don’t feel the pressure to be winners. Do you seriously think one of the winning clubs would put up with players like Dier for so long?? When other players see him starting games what the hell is their motivation to be better? I feel Poch did change the mindset for a period, but overwhelmingly the last 40 years of spurs it’s been too easy for Spurs players.
Conte was right- the players can’t play under stress or pressure. They’ve never have been able to by and large. That’s because the owners don’t invest in players that can. They get top managers in, but what’s the point without winner players? Poch improved many players but even then they couldn’t take the step to winning something. The fire isn’t there in most of them as conte said.
A truly successful club is a winning club from the top down. We don’t have winning owners and we don’t have winning players. Putting a winning manager in between is utterly pointless

Spurs issues goes way deeper than just a player or 2 the manager the owner and to suggest that players lose motivation when they see Dier in the line up is just moronic.
This place used to be good for debate now its just moaners trotting out their fave scapegoat.
