So the courts have ruled Gavi cannot be registered as a first team player and he must return to a youth contract. Before Barca can register him as a first teamer next season they need to raise around 170m.
Surely now he is, in theory, available for free the club should be ripping up trees to try and get him.
Bellingham fee being 130-150m roughly, as I said recently, I just don't think it makes sense for Liverpool to get him at that price. Real and city sure, he would be the cherry on top but Liverpool need 3 mfs minimum, and I just don't see it myself (if the price quoted is correct)
I get Gavi may insist he's staying but Barca this summer are going to be a mess. It's well worth offering the kid a huge wage to nick him.for free, altough I accept every top club is probably looking to get in on the deal now.
Thoughts?
Gavi contract situation

They need to bring in £178m before they can buy but they can spend 40% of what they bring in from sales so 71m according to the La Liga president.
Not sure why they couldn't just bring in 107m and not buy anyone surely that is more feasible.
De Jong
Raphinha
Torres
Are the names touted but that leaves them incredibly short in wide areas and as Busquets is out of contract losing De Jong would be difficult on them.
Dest and Lenglet are two they have loaned out they could easily sell but you wouldn't get 30m for them.

Probably mug has off for even more for De Jong so they can keep Gavi.

De Jong has constantly said he isn't leaving. He gets asked every week so if I was him I'd be so sick of it I'd leave anyway 😂
They are asking players to drop wages again but they have so few options to generate cash. Clubs will know they are in trouble and lowball. Teams that can't lowball will probably have the players refuse to leave.
Barca have a situation for sure and tbh I love it. La liga loves to clap at the PL whilst it's taken them this long to get their own league in order.
Imagining joining last season and they gave u wages/deal to persuade u to join them, only for them to ask u to sacrifice 50% of it the next summer so they can make signings....it's such a broken model playing on players heartstrings. When players refused to drop their wages to the level they wanted last time they just tell the media and start a witch hunt. It's disgusting behaviour.

Not often I agree with you but THIS!
Goes down easier than a junkie hooker. OP clearly hasn’t watched him play in any detail? Yes, tidy, young but that’s it.

I've seen him plenty tbf but I won't claim to have watched his every game. Kid has unreal ability and passion. Has a pair too. He recently did a sliding tackle.and put the ball out with his head 😂 not the smartest way for a kid to tackle but he ain't afraid to get dirty and stuck in.
As for him falling over constantly, it's probably easier to name.the playera- even in the PL- that don't, rather than all the players that do. He certainly doesn't fall over any more than Bruno and plenty of other PL stars.
On a free transfer every team will want him. It's that simple really. Getting him is another matter.

My point is only he would be called out here for it whereas it is more ‘cultural’ in Iberia.

He is clearly a very gifted player and young, and on a free contract everyone will be interested.
Looks like he is a kid that if he plays for your team you love him, of he doesn't he's a bit of a bell. I like to see kids with a bit of fight in an age most are made of tissue. He'd need that in the PL tbh although I can't see he coming here now.
