Really confused by those saying Paratici's pedigree with players is good. Let's look at the evidence...

Romero £50m
Richarlison £60m
Bissouma £30m
Udogie £18m
Spence £20m
Porro £40m
Danjuma Loan Fee £3m
Perisic Free
Forster Free
Lenglet Loan
Gil £25m plus Lamela (valuation - £40-45m total)
Sarr £16m
Royal £30m
Bentancur £20m
Kulu £40m (once loan is over)
Gollini Loan

Total £342m spent (if you include the Lamela valuation of around £15-20m)

Of that money spent you could argue that only Romero, Bentancur and Kulu represent starters in the team. Porro could be added to that but we're yet to find out how good he is.

£372m spent and not a penny on a centre half. That's scandalous and that's on him, not Levy. He's the man that decides how the money is spent. We can't lump that on Levy.

It seems to me that everyone backing Paratici's transfer record on the basis that those that have yet to really play all that much MIGHT come good.

On what planet does it make sense to sign three RWB's to sit alongside Doherty? 4 players, one position. We had to rip up Doherty's contract over a contractual oversight on FP's part. He also deliberately overpaid for Romero, even though generally we'd all say he's worth it, just to do his mates a favour at Juve.

I'd say his transfer record at Spurs has been a little scattergun, some hits, some misses, a heavy imbalance with regards to strengthening weaker positions with very little idea how to sell on unwanted players. Couple that with his deplorable conduct in previous jobs and above all his determination to ignore the values of the club by continually selecting managers that don't align with club philosophy and I'd say all in all, this crook has been nothing short of a disaster.

Like I said before, he's a car salesman with a few contacts in Italy. That's it. 3/10
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I saw striketeam say an equally stupid thing on the other thread. The fack is Romero then if he is not a Center half?

Of those players spent I would say the following (interesting rounding for the values, are you Paratici in disguise):

Romero - quality player
Richarlison - quality player and I remember on a previous thread you having some shocking opinions that you never returned to after called out, so let’s leave it at that
Bissouma - quality player
Udogie - highly rated prospect, type of signing we should be making
Spence - highly rated prospect, type of signing we should be making
Porro - highly rated prospect, type of signing we should be making
Danjuma - quality backup with CL experience and pedigree
Perisic - not a fan personally but it made sense to back the manager with his player for his system
Forster - success
Lenglet - not a fan
Gil - see prospect comment
Sarr - as above
Royal - I’m a fan, but he was signed as a player for his manager
Bentancur - obvious quality
Kulu - obvious quality
Gollini - not a fan

The fact of the matter regarding these signings is the fault of the manager, I don’t think anyone is at fault over how Spence has been other than Conte. Comolli was similarly proven right over time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry, I started laughing at your response to Richarlison and gave up reading the rest. In all honesty, if you believe that a man who in his entire career playing as a number 9, has only ever scored 13 goals in one Prem season, yet to score one for us, is a “quality player” then you’re a fecking moron that doesn’t deserve to have his opinions heard.

Absolute fecktard!!!!

A lot of those transfer fees are `potential` fees though, Richarlison for example was a guaranteed £50m + another £10m in performance related add ons, it will be things like scoring 15+ goals, number of appearances, or winning a trophy, or qualifying for the CL etc, and the way he is going we won`t be triggering any of those. It will be the same with other players such as Bissouma, Spence etc, so total spent will be way less.

looks about right to me...show that it's not

Exactly. The only oversight was that we did spend money on one centre half in Romero. Other than that, I'm bang on, particularly in my assessment of Richy, which was wholly accurate.

I think Bales Left Foot likes to throw the grenade in every now and then without providing any reasoning or explanation for his responses. Gutless.
