No. He spent the second season with us hardly being available. His stats on this this season doesn't look much better. It's time we stop getting over the hill players.

Martial, for all his talent, has to go due to inconsistency and injuries. Weghorst is a stop gap. At best a back up front man if we were to sign him permanently. We need a striker this summer.

I get the feeling that he would have been available more often in that second season if we hadn't signed Ronaldo. I think that put his nose out of joint. And he has always been a player that makes himself available for his country and it seems to me he opted to prioritise them. When you like at the figures that Cavani returned in his first season, there wasn't really any need to sign Ronaldo. We should have kept him and looked for another younger CF.

Maybe so. But if he can't be available for the team when he's hardly playing anyway, then there is little point to keeping him. He hasn't played. He's already had a few games out with injuries. We need someone we can rely on.
