I think Spurs supporters on here

fall into three different groups,
1 the loyal supporter who enjoys good football whether we win draw or lose, but make our dissaproval known when the football is craaap, would love to see the team win a trophy, but its not the end of the world if they dont as there are only 6 trophies including the european one to win between god knows how many teams, i include myself in this group
2 The casual supporter, I include the tourists in this group along with the glory hunters "which we cant have many of" and partners and children dragged along to a game they dont really take too much interest in and will move along to the next flavour of the month
3 the obsessive supporter who insist winning a trophy by any means possible is all that matters, who falls into a bout of depression after a loss lasting until the next game, they think the club should spend millions on players they dont even know would want to play for us, and if we dont get them it is all the chairmans fault, they are that obsessed they probably know the boot size of all the first team players because they know every stat about every player in world football. there is room for all these fans in our great game so if you encounter one of these type of fans on here or in real life cut them some slack, their opinion is as valid as yours or mine

How I see Spurs fans broadly in general:

1. Old school die hard. Team has to play attacking football above all else. Became a fan when we were a cup team, maybe while Gazza was around. Wants the team to win an FA Cup occasionally but not above anything else. Mostly Levy in.
2. New school fan. Is a fan because of attacking exciting football, maybe cos of Redknapp or Bale, maybe even Poch. Cares about xG. Doesn't get why we're in the CL most years but don't take trophies seriously. Mostly Levy out.
3. Armchair fan. Gets angry we haven't signed (unrealistic) player X or did sign player Y and doesn't play every week. HATES players that make mistakes that lead to goals. Definitely Levy & ENIC out.
4. Phenom

Just want good football myself currently, fed up of years of crap since Poch was sacked.

With Poch I wanted trophies as we had been playing good football for a number of years, I didn’t think we’d go backwards so badly with the wrong managers since.

Was happy to give Conte a chance, I’ve liked him since his Juve days but just didn’t work out.

I am a hybrid of 1 and 3 - I want to win, mostly by playing good football.

I’m desperate for a trophy because we’re getting to nearly 2 decades without one.

Forgot to add that my biggest disappointment with the club is not trying to win “secondary” trophies like the League cup, FA cup or the Europa’s

95% of the time, the loyal supporter.

Yes, I do occasionally want Levy to put his hand in his pocket, usually when 'that' player goes elsewhere because another club has more money ( or less sense ) or, most irritatingly, because their owners are more pro active.

As everyone knows, I detest the media and the constant narrative / bias thrust down our throats every day, but that is because I can't stand these people aiming everything at Spurs, whilst ignoring obvious failings in their little favorites. To be honest I would love to know how a club becomes a media darling. What criteria is involved ?

I have followed Spurs since the mid 1970's, a curse that has never wavered for a moment. And there has been many moments to test me over the years. I have held a season ticket for several years, although, whilst a mug to follow Spurs, I aint that much of a mug to be fleeced by Levy, and gave that up in 2019.

I moan ( a lot ) I know, but only want success for our team as much as anyone else, whilst being realistic that Spurs are "a solid top 6"team, and that's not going to change any time soon. Particularly in the current money doped world we are in.

I just want to see the club make progress, whatever fan that makes me; win more games, player better football, win more trophies. A return to the Poch era of Spurs but with more silverware at the end of it.

I want to see us become PL and European champions, I don`t see the point of making the numbers up year after year. Winning silverware is what football is all about, not taking part while the owners make staggering profits. It is 62 years since Spurs were English league champions, we would also have been European champions the year after but for being shafted by some bent officials v Benfica in the semi final of the European Cup. That is where we need to get back to and I don`t care how it is done.
