The way we set up leaves the midfield so exposed.

What worries me is that we don’t create anything.

We will finish 6th or 7th. I would love us to actually try to win the Europa but we never do.

Was thinking about this last night, we’d actually be better off finishing 7th in the Conference league place as Liverpool are likely to be in the Europa next year and will sort us out as soon as we meet them.

It would be a good yard stick for the new manager as well - is he just a Levy yes man, in which case we will be out very early or will we actually try in this competition - in which case we should be making the semis as a minimum given our resources.

As for the set up yesterday, you are right, Dyche packed the middle with Onana, Ghana, Doucore - 3 big, athletic, combative midfielders and we stuck plucky skippy and Pierre “this trucks reversing” Hojbjerg in there to deal with them.

To play a 2 man midfield you need real top level players, we have Hojbjerg and Skipp, a pair of limited water carriers who create more problems than they solve. The amount of times they play a simple pass backwards or sideways straight into the press rather than a pass through the lines is a major problem. Get some better midfielders and it would transform the team.

Also remind players like Dier, Hugo, Sanchez that they stink at passing, they are utterly dross so trying to play little triangles in our own box is faaacking mental - just pass to the nearest competent player on our team as quick as possible or hoof the schiiit out of it

Was Dembele even replaceable? Are there many players like him?

If there were any sort of football strategy at the club, we’d have players lined up to replace Sembele and Eriksen to fit Poch’s system. I think that’s what teams like Brighton and to some extent Leicester in the past have done. We are just reactionary as a club.

We should have Lloris, Dier, Kane, Son replacements lined-up instead of waiting until they ditch us.

The only player on loan that might be useful is Reggie
