Midfield overhaul

Let's forget bellingham because highly unlikely he will want to join us unless somehow we manage to get into the CL or he does not mind sittiung it iut for one year.

And even if he did want to join, spending that much on one player with our budget restrictions is a massive gamble.

Instead with that money we can prob afford any two of these if they want to join us:

Amrabat
Gallagher (reminds me of a young lallana)
Mcallister
De Paul
Rice (if not stupid money is asked for)

Would people be happy with any two of those. My ideal would be bellingham and Gallagher.

But would be happy with Gallagher and Mcallister.

We should be demanding JB and then money for 2 more. We sacrificed a season for JB. My 3 options would be:

JB (100m)
Kone (35m)
Gundogan (free)

I’d take Kone, Tchouameni if Bellingham ends up at Madrid, Caicedo, Mac Allister or Mount.

We need two either way.

We need two even if one is Bellingham as we're losing two. At this current stage, if nobody else is going, they probably both have to be home grown as a situation is developing with home grown players. Ox is leaving, Milner's contract is expiring and then you have Phillips and Kelleher who are likely to want moves.

Jones moves from u21 to HG.

Mcallister would cost a fair few quid, Rice would be a stupid high price, Gundogan will go abroad if not re-signing, Bellingham could be an option but if he did come would you have enough to address any other positions you need sorted and he will also have a fair few suitors I assume?

No doubt Liverpool will look at CM options this window but a fair few of them wont be easy to get, imo anyway, Klopp might have a few gems that aren't all that well heard off up his sleeve?

City don't tend to offer lucrative new deals to 30plus players which is something we need to adopt. The reason why I mentioned Gundo was the Klopp Dortmund link but I can't see us going for him despite being able to get 2 good years out of him.

He would instantly be our best midfielder unlike the fraud Thiago.

We don't need another 30 plus midfielder. We are in this position because of buying old mids like thiago or extending it with hendo and mills

Xavi Simon's has evolved into a great no10 and all around good mf. Dynamic, pace and skill and gets assists/goals. Don't see him struggling in the PL at all.
Real bargain in my view to whoever gets him, although it's rumoured he will return to psg.
Rabiot is a bit of a bell it seems and his mum/agent is a huge pain in the a55 but he has won medals and is a clear improvement on what Liverpool have. Even with huge wages, he supported Liverpool as a kid and has no fee. He clearly has quality.
Both of them seem decent value and cover different areas. Ones creative but has high energy going box to box. The other is experienced at the highest level, is a winner and can anchor a team.

When I see players like Mount and Gallagher I just scratch my head when both are inferior to the two I've mentioned I think, and fees for English players are crazy. Mount's deal is running out and there's rumours they still want 60m+

Buying mount for that amount just makes Chelsea stillteonger indirectly I feel. They need to chop down their wage bill and raise funds to balance the books and buy again.

Mount is a no go for sure. Gallagher if price is sensible like 25 mil than worth a punt.

Mount but not at 60m when you can pick him up on a pre-contract 6 months down the line.

He holds the cards so I could see him being sold for 40m and at that price Liverpool should take him.

Gallagher has been hopeless for Chelsea.

McAllister was very good in the World Cup but i'm still not entirely sure what his game is. I'd like to see him in a bigger team though.
