Luis Enrique

For those who want to actually discuss whether this is a worthwhile appointment.

As I was saying on the other thread.

Luis Enrique may well do a decent job but be wary, it may just be a short term affair.

In his previous job there was a bit of unrest amongst some of the players and fans for his more direct style.

I dont think those same problems will arise at Chelsea, but the point Im making is that he didnt have the full backing of the players when he came in and some were against him.

He then also decided after his 2nd season that he was gonna leave at the end of his contract as he was unable to get his message across to the players and / or the players were not taking it on board.

But the flipside is that he did still win the league and champ league so that kinda shuts down any other argument.

What you guys think?

We didn't sack him, the owners did.

Regardless, bizarre decision which i assume you guys were dead against. Did he upset the owners?

Presumably. Nobody really knows what happened.

Looks like it's Lampard

But fair play to Lamps, he obviously cares more about the club than he does about his own reputation if he's coming back to help us until the end of the season. He'll likely be forever tainted just being associated with us in this season from hell.

He’s one of the worst managers since Tony Adams gave it a go. His reputation is already forever tainted
