After the most perfect day at Wembley it's back down to earth and good Friday league one football. 8 league games to go, Bolton in 5th with a game in hand are well placed to go on and seal a top 6 finish and reach the play offs and hopefully a 2nd trip to Wembley and a chance to seal promotion back to the championship. Minds must be focused, no top sides to play but a few struggling against relegation which will provide tough banana skins on the way. Bolton's recent league form has been poor. 1 win in 6, no wins in the last 4 although the performance and point at Sheffield Wednesday was excellent which provided the platform to play the way they did against Plymouth. Team news. 1 out and 3 back in from the 19 man squad at Wembley. Toal is out injured along with Isgrove, iredale and Bodvarsson. Returning after being cup tied are shoretire, adeboyejo and Nlundulu. With another game Monday plenty of options in midfield and up front for evatt to rotate. Unfortunately Toal's injury leaves no cover now at right wing back, right centre back and centre back. Bradley, Jones and Santos need wrapping in cotton wool. One definite change from Wembley is which left sided centre back comes in for Toal. Mbete or Johnston. Kick off 3pm.

I missed the game today; my Wi-Fi went down after lunch, but it has just come back on.

It will be interesting to see what happens on Monday against Cambridge. Hopefully, our defence will hold up and our strikers will be able to put a few goals past them.
On another point, I have been trying for months to persuade my youngest grandson to go to a game with me. It looks as if he has been converted and he's quite keen to take his first trip to the Unibol.
Unfortunately, he can't go on Monday as he has arranged to go out with one of his friends' family. I think I will target the last home game of the season against Fleetwood.
I'm looking forward to getting to a match as I haven't been to one for a long time. When I was a season ticket holder, I was in the east standupper and then moved to the East stand lower when friends decided to move.
Any ideas of what stand I should book tickets for? The naughty corner is definitely out.

Cambridge close to selling out with home tickets now being sold in the south stand. I'm in north lower happy with my row end quick dash off seat. I would go east upper as hardly anyone sits in those half way line cushioned seats although I expect the last home game be 20000 plus as well.

That was a long day. 6.30 start, arrived Exeter 11, breakfast then st Anne's well near the ground to meet a friendly 64 year old doorman who loved to engage with the fans and show off his pafc(Plymouth argyle) tattooed knuckles and his battle scared broken fingers. Fanzone next to the ground was mixed Exeter and Bolton. Friendly lot and no trouble at all. Match. Had to dig in deep. Different to Wembley had to bring more physical players on to handle Exeter's bombardment. Down to the last 3 defenders with Santos and Toal out for the season so squad stretched. Got away as soon as we could and no stops on the way. Home at 9.15. slept like a log.

Thanks, Benny, I didn't have a cushioned seat when I sat up there. I'm not sure there were any cushioned seats then. How things change.

They are the front row of the east upper. I always sit there when I occasionally get a spare ticket up there no one bothers. I don't get enough freebies to make it viable not getting a season ticket.

I will book as early as I can and see if I can get two cushioned seats.
My middle Grandson who lives in Bolton, (formerly a MUFC supporter) has been converted.
We are having a family gathering at our place today, so I will ask him if he would like to go to the game. He went to Wembley, and he is getting into the swing of going to the games. However, I think he goes into the naughty corner with his mates when he goes, so it might be a bit tame for him.
We will see. My youngest grandson looks up to him and they are good friends, so he may concede and come with us.

Another match day dawns.
A busy run to come, which hopefully finishes with us dancing round the Maypole.
