A trophy already.
Top 4 looking good.
A semi final in the FA cup
Quarter final in the Europa.
ETH has set his stall out to try and win every game, and I'm with him.
It's his first season and he wants to make his mark.
I don't think any of us expected this at the start of the season.
Just hoping we can keep going for another dozen matches.
What à season

Someone linked the pundits predictions before the season the other day, think out of 15+ of them we were down as 6th place in most.
But if some fan of another team agrees that we may be heading in the right direction, be showing signs of progress, and (if we do) finishing in the top 4, winning a cup (and possibly another one) as well as reaching the later stages of every competition won’t be enough for us to be allowed to celebrate or call it a successful season, then he must be right.

We haven’t been jealous of Liverpool. At no time.
It’s been more of anger at the owners of our club.
Annoying. Cos we know we haven’t been good enough to challenge, and that shouldn’t be the case.
We should be.
You lot gave it yer best shot. He’d some success.
But you dead food now.
No jealousy here pal.

Personally Stringer I was jealous for a season or two, not now though.

If Liverpool fans are jealous of United winning some cups then what have United fans been the last 5 years watching Liverpool win everything there is while pounding United almost every time the two teams play each other.
It's too early to be claiming jealousy IMO. With the size of United and outlay of hundreds of millions every season, then any reasonable football fan knows it's only a matter of time before they win something. So long as it's not one of the big ones then you can win the rest as much as you want.
Some of us actually feel very lucky and fortunate that United have spent as much if not more than City and have next to nothing to show for it except a couple or so cups while City win the league every season and cup after cup.
Goes to show that money alone doesn't do the trick. United have outspent Liverpool by hundreds of millions but when you look at the trophy cabinets of the two clubs, you'd be forgiven for thinking it was Liverpool that had all that money.

But not this season. The season in question

Since SAF retired Liverpool have been in their good years we have been in our bad ones.
The trophy count isn’t much different other than some of yours are the better ones.
You have one league one Fa Cup one CL and a couple of league cups.
We have an Fa Cup, the Europey and a couple of League cups.
You want to hope we don’t return to our good years.

Been a good season indeed. The only worry is fatigue from the players. We have played more matches than any other PL team this season in various competitions and of we go all the way in the cups we still have another 16 matches still left this season.
I'm tired watching our guys look tired on the pitch so I can imagine how they must be feeling.

We have played more games than any other team in the top flight Europen leagues. I'm just surprised we've not burnt out yet.

They way they played, 1st half especially, shows they ain’t even close to burnout.
I thought they were, cos unlike ‘99, we recognise the depth isn’t there this term. But then they go,play like that… and it shows they got plenty in the tank.
They can see the prize.

Getting used to it now tbh. Remember the debate we had when Fergie retired? I said United were done but would win two more league titles before a drought. You laughed and called me some names when as it turns out I was too kind.
The league win and CL win is a universe away from what United have won. Talking like it's comparable must be a joke. And of course I hope you don't get back to good years and I keep thinking it will happen at certain times but it never does. So far so good.

The league is, though we had a second. The CL not so much.
