Should have been our biggest win of the season, bit of a worry Rashford getting injured but the return of Cass & Eriksen softens the blow
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And Martial, if he can stay fit. Annoyingly, he and Rashford play well together; now it looks like Martial is his deputy for a while.

Our midfield in the last 2 games has looked good... It's a shame for them that McT and Sabz will probably get dropped now, and Bruno moved forward again.
Don't get me wrong, I want those players to start and get their form up... But the life of a squad player is cruel! They get a few cameos and all the match thread types hate on them for not being instant greats, they settle into some form and then get pulled.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tbf we played Brentford and Everton at home. People werent calling for that midfield to get a run after Newcastle away were they?
We haven't lost a single game all season in which Casemiro Eriksen and Bruno have started together either. It's an elite midfield.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He might not throw Eriksen and Casemiro both straight in. We've got Forest and Sevilla coming up so Sabitzer and McTominay will still see a fair bit of action, I'm sure.

Their first game together 2 weeks after an international break? Sabitzer has been brilliant in attacking midfield and Fernandes settling into that withdrawn position is going to benefit us for a long time yet.

Way to miss several points at once
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn't miss anything and context is everything. Harry Maguire got a rare outing yesterday too and didn't do a lot wrong. I still want Varane back next week.
You said it's a shame. It honestly isn't a shame at all.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1) I said that I want Eriksen/Casemiro back
2) I said that it takes a run of games to find form for these squad players, hence the poor Newcastle game.
3) I said it was a shame for the individuals, as in, it must be somewhat harsh for them... But point 1 clearly shows that I don't think it's a shame for our overall season.

Sabitzer has been decent. Brilliant is a massive exaggeration.
Mctominay has played well this week in both home games but away from home he struggles most of the time.

I see it more of a shame that we haven't been able to field our best team most of the season.
Mctominay has had a decent couple of games and Sabitzer is doing okay but Casemiro n Eriksen is a massive step up in quality.
Just thought it was worded a bit strange that's all.

It's left me feeling a bit disappointed tbh. The season so far has been good and we still have stuff to look forward to as well. However it could have been even better had we had a bit more luck. Oh well
