I’m not against this. Young manager, plays good football. Knows the Permier League.
Obviously a risk, but then all appointments are. Would be surprised if a new “project" is something that will Keep Kane, but maybe an over haul is a good thing.
My main objection is that, assuming he does well, as soon as the City job becomes available, he’ll do one.
Kompany

Let him do one to City if that's the case. Pep ain't going no where for a couple of years. If he can get us playing well and we improve he will be worth it.
All IFs though

Would you really object though if he’d come in and done well. Surely you want a manager who is a flight risk, because if nobody is after him he’s not doing a good job.

IF he ends up at city, that’s because he’ll have impressed them enough with what he’s done at spurs, meaning he will have been a success with us. That would only ever be a good thing (let’s not kid ourselves we are on city’s level!).
He’s as credible as any of the other managers we could attract right now, assuming Nageslman is off the cards. Get him in, get rid off all the dross, start afresh.

Is Yaya still at Spurs? Were those two good friends at City?
Just wondering if some sort of coaching reunion could be on the cards?

I'm not sure about that. He hardly set the world alight at Anderlecht and he's had one good season in the championship.. his profile is very much Lampard right now.
Brendan Rodgers is far more credible and qualified for the role, and I think most fans would be underwhelmed by him

Just get Slot in FFS - blokes the chosen one and we will regret it if we don’t

Meh, I am totally apathetic to who the new manager will be, whoever comes in will fail under ENIC.
All we can do is give the new bloke a chance (whoever that may be), we are stuck in a rut of Levy`s ineptitude so anybody deserves support.
Kompany would not be my first choice, it smacks of Levy trying to copy the younger manager route which other clubs have gone down. He is doing well with Burnley but is still inexperienced and will always have one eye on City. He could easily be another Slipper Gerrard, does well in at a lower level and then flops in the PL.

God this is giving me the same vibes as the dodgy manager hunt in the summer where we ended up with Nuno in the end.

No one wants to work for levy.
70 odd days to appoint nuno. F a cking nuno.
Then chucked stupid money at an anti football expert to persuade him to do 18 months
It’s utter chaos. Every week there’s a new favourite we’re close to appointing. It’s was Naglesmann, then slot, now kompany.
Scattergun.
