Not much to be positive about from the last hour of that match.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Disagree. Malacia doesn't have 2 brain facts at either end of the pitch and we are home and dry. This game is still ours. They weren't great.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But he did, so disagreeing is a bit daft.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why is it? Aside from malacia the last hour was OK and comfortable. So if anything, on this occasion, your being a bit daft tbf.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The last hour wasn’t comfortable. What on earth were you watching?

Until we hit injury time (from the 30th minute to the 90th minute), we:
- outshot them almost 2:1 (nine attempts on goal versus their five, half of which came from outside the box and only two of which were on target, whilst we forced their keeper to make more saves and also hit the woodwork)
- had 54% possession of the ball, completed more than 30 more passes than them and had 50 more touches
By any objective measure, we created more chances than them and had more control of the game until injury time.
The eye-test is obviously subjective, but on balance over that 60 minutes, for me, we were quite comfortably the better side.

See above Rapelay:
The above sums up why thought for the best part we were comfortable. Malacia aside we owned that game.

One other thing from last night: does Peter Schmeichel not have a point, that it shouldn't have been the Sevilla players carrying Licha off? If they were being sporting, fair play to them but where were our players? If, as Schmeichel suggests, it was about getting on with the game while they had momentum (and an extra man), why was nobody stopping this from happening? A badly injured colleague shouldn't just be used like that so the opponents can gain an advantage.
Seems like there was a lack of leadership and game management in general in those closing stages last night.

Agree with this. That's on Maguire and then the gaffer for not calling it out.
