Our first XI is like some machine, and if you change just one part it's not working the same. If Zinny is not playing, our whole concept looks different as there isn't player like him that can do that role. Same goes with Gabriel, Saliba, White and Partey. You take out any of mentioned players, and it's a whole different team. It's like team learned to play that one way, and can't adapt to other when needed. Tierney is not bad player, but he can't do the Zincheko's role. We should have plan B and adapt in these situations when some of our crucial player is missing.

Completly agree with this.
There is no adaptability with Arteta
Why not let Tierney play as an overlapping left back

You'd have to change the way the entire team plays just to let Tierney overlap all game.
Ben white doesnt seem to have a problem with picking and choosing his moments to tuck into midfield, form a back 3, or overlap. Did you see his assist today?

The base formation is extremely adaptable as it is. Certain players are just not adaptable enough to suit. Notably Tierney and Holding. And I hate saying that about KT as I love the bloke.

The right back is allowed to overlap under Arteta. The Lb does not have that much flexibility

Saka scores from 12 yards and this wouldn’t be an issue.

Yes, at certain moments. Not the whole fooking game.

Yes it would. Even when we were winning 2-0, people here were saying that KT is bad in that role

Yes. It's like when you have real striker and false 9. You adapt and change how you play.

It's the players that have to adapt. You can't change your whole system because "overlap"

But you can. Look at Man City. City play very very differently depending on if Haaland is playing or not. It really is a case of the team having to adapt to play to that players strengths.
KT may not be up top scoring goals but we definitely could adapt to playing better with him in the team instead of forcing him to try do things he is not comfortable doing. Also...teams have to adapt to opponents. Your base game can be the same but a brilliant coach will also realize when to try something different to get the results. Otherwise, it will become as predictable as it was with Wenger where teams camp on their 18yard line, watch us struggle to break them down and deploy a fast front 3 to hit us on the counter.
