Not really, Man City were outplayed in both finals they won. Man Utd dominated both finals under SAF that we won.

This isn’t a proper treble. It’s a tainted treble.
115 charges. Fake revenue. Invented sponsors.
Tainted.

It's better than United's treble. City battered Bayern and Real. United fluked the CL and were nowhere near the best team in Europe.

Man Utd had more possession same shots more shots on target and more corners than Bayern Munich and way more big chances. People some reason think because Bayern hit the woodwork twice that they were unlucky when Man Utd had so many point blank chances. If there was an XG for the 1999 CL final Man Utd XG probably was 4 to Bayern Munich 1.

Sort of reminds me of when Chelsea won it in 2012. There worst side in that period won it.

I wouldn't say United 99 were the worst United team of that period.
