Sadly for you TB I think he’ll stick with a back 4 and you’ll see Tielemans and Maddison in the side.

I’m ok with that as long as Nacho is started with two wingers either side of him. Otherwise I’d rather we went 2 up top which seems to have resulted in our best football and this removes the need for Maddison who is our most creative outlet.

Hopefully we've seen the last of the Kamikaze approach to team selection. Also I hope if Tilly is picked he has benefitted from the runout on Saturday and doesn't do another passable impression of a slug - speed wise of course. He looked knackered after the first 20 minutes.

I agree with Mersey, I think we'll see 4 at the back. Please, please, please Dean, let's see Mendy and Ian start.

I suspect we'll see Tilly and/or Madders and/or Barnes start though. Personally I'd keep them on the bench to bring on later so that they are eased back into the side.

It's good that there are now genuine selection choices to be made in midfield and at the back - what would Brendan have given to be able to play our new signings Soumare and Soyuncu!
