Really? It seems perfectly normal to have misgivings about whether a player would be the best use of funds without necessarily knowing who the best option would be.

We have scouted and signed unknown / lower profile players (Amad, Pellistri, Malacia) and the reaction from a lot of fans? These players are written off far too soon.

If you think the other 2 one costing 38 mill represent a good body of work from our scouts well fair enough. Hopefully they can find us a striker so we don't have to blow 100 Mill on a 30 year old.

BTW haven't seen any of those young players being written off but that's one of your usual accusations on this site.

All 3 are young, talented, low profile, and relatively cheap.

And yes, all 3 have been written off until quite recently, by a lot of fans. (Never be good enough, only done it for 10 mins / in the Championship / Malacia cant have been scouted)

I'm not claiming to be champion of anything. I'm simply pointing out that when our scouts / staff in the very recent past have managed to identify those talented, young / low profile players, that some are calling for now, our fans have been quick to write them off (as initially happened with Pellistri and Amad and is happening to Malacia at the moment)

Which is a very strong argument. Especially in the context of Man United historically and what supporters would prefer to pay to watch at Old Trafford each week.

However.....

If we could reasonably buy the Spurs/England CF that in the past, so far, has appears to score goals for fun, and he hits the ground running when he gets here, then I wouldnt be too much against him coming to United to do an Edward Sherringham for a couple of seasons.
