Tonight's matches

Four matches tonight with only the Notts Forest vs Brighton game likely to have an impact on the relegation fight. If Brighton do what they should do (on paper), it keeps 3pts distance between us and Forest. Forest have already missed a penalty and they're showing the kind of intent that we were mostly devoid of last night. I know it's only one game out of 34 games left involving the bottom 6 teams, but I've a feeling tonight's result will play a big part in deciding who stays up and who goes down. An incentive for Brighton is that 3pts would take them one step closer to a place in Europe and, to be honest, they deserve it. C'mon the Seagulls!

Awful result tonight.

Doesn’t feel like we have a freak result like that in us. We don’t win on Sunday and we are down.

If Everton beat Newcastle tomorrow night we are down!

And on that note I take my leave from here until at least the end of the season.

It's bad enough watching us at the moment without reading how doomed we are before we're even in the bottom 3 🤣🤣

Stay happy folks and don't give yourselves ulcers 🤣🤣👋👋

Sorry White... hopefully the geordies will be at it tomorrow night as Liverpool are breathing down their necks.
Forest I think despite tonight will only get another 3 points... Southampton 4 so it's Everton who realisticly we have to keep ahead of and get a minimum of 4 more points.
It's not over yet.. I hope you rejoin us White on Sunday for our rise like Lazarus 👍

I'm not sure if your optimism is for real Macca but I hope it is – we need a ray of light in these dark, dark days!

Lorra I assure despite the gallows humour I do still think we can undeservedly stay up...BUT we can all see that it will take fate, provedence to intervene and Everton in particular to lose at least 3 of their remaining games.

I think it's extremely possible Everton will come unstuck against Newcastle tomorrow night and then they have , Leicester, Brighton, City, Wolves and Bournemouth and if they only get a single win and 2 draws maximum it's still realistic for us to get 4 points to finish above them, Forest and Southampton.

This time next week let's hope we all can see more hope than doom and gloom, which is only natural at the moment but yes definitely where there's life there's hope.. Just!

I'm starting to feel our club's fan base are like the frog
in a pot of water coming to a boil. Everything was lovely
at first. No worries. Then it started to get warm. A bit
uncomfortable. Then wallop, the water's bubbling like
hell and we finally figure out "Oh fck, we're cooked."

Bang on, Batty, we have been slow cooked over two seasons cos as LIW says Radrizzani, Orta and co are all khaaants!

Last season we were scraping points by pure luck under Jesse.
2 points gained against Norwich in the dying seconds.
3 points gained at Wolves after red card, winner 90+ minutes.
1 point gained at home to Brighton in the last minutes.
2 more at Brentford at the very end against 9 men.
I can't see us getting 38 points this season, maybe 35 is enough...but this meek approach from Gracia isn't filling me with confidence.

People have been asking, 'are there three teams worse than us?' I think a better question to ask is, 'Are there three teams that want to stay up more than we do?'
In either event, there are three teams who are better than us and want it more than we do. It's kind of appropriate that Bamford is the one who sends us down, as he represents so much about what is wrong with LUFC - a player whose qualities only exist in the memory or imagination of fans, managers, and club owners. It's not his fault he is not good enough to play at this level in this important a game. None of us selected him to play or decided to give him a four year contract. All of us know full well his limitations as a player. LUFC have brought this on themselves.
