Universe...you just out did yourself!
Is it possible to dream of the treble? Forest staying up...two of Leeds, Leicster and Everton going down?!
Just as EM backed Cooper...I backed my prediction and have an extra $500 in the bank. Yep...I've been bouncing off the walls today!
Last Game Overview:
Sure...they were tired and as Pep says are the best build-up team in the world, but....I couldn't give a monkeys. The second half was phenomenal!
The Good: I don't think anoyone had a bad game.
The Bad: Niakhate's hamstring.
The Ugly: Williams reflection tomorrow morning.
Special Mention: Danilo....in a game where everyone stood up to be counted...Danilo excelled.
Overall Record:
Currently we stand at W13 D10 L13
Injuries / Signings:
Boly, Henderson, McKenna and Wood are all out for this one.
Niakhate and Williams likely joining Scarpa and Yates as unlikely.
Form:
Brentford Home Form – W2 D3 L1 GF10 GA7
Forest Away Form – W0 D0 L6 GF4 GA16
Forest are 0.5 PPG over the last ten games. Brentford are 1.2 PPG.
Team:
Navas
Aurier Felipe Worrall Lodi
Mangala Danilo Kouyate
MGW
Awoniyi Johnson
I think it picks itself with injuries.
Prediction:
Brentford...currently mid-table-ish absolutely hate Everton...they'll let us win this. Toney with an own goal and Forest fans to start wondering about another season...in the E...P...L!
2-1 to Forest

Gutted by that. Still can't understand the decision on the second goal. Navas makes some world class saves but then let's in ones I'd expect any keeper to make. But the real issue is why bring on Ayew - why not sure up the midfield or defence to protect what we had. Effectively meant we played with 10 men for 30 minutes and then went down to 9.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t agree, we needed to try and replace a forward with a forward otherwise we are just sitting back.
The problem is we can’t pass very well. We play on the counter but we are bad at counter attacks. We never get Brennan clear down the right. Attacks break down around the halfway line constantly.
I think really we were unlucky. Can’t do much about the free kick and then we are down to ten men.
It just feels like we are limping towards the end with not quite enough players. Most teams are rotating 5 players each match. But we constantly have to make subs in the first half and then certain players don’t get a rest. We just need a bit of a break really
----------------------------------------------------------------------We had Dennis and Surridge on the bench who are both better forwards and can hold the ball and bring others in to play. Why Ayew every game when he has not assisted, scored or done anything of note.
Both goals we poor. The first I have no idea what Navas was doing with the wall and why he tried to save it with 2 hands rather than getting 1 solid palm behind it.
The Second, VAR aside, is at his near post.
Fully agree about the team rotation. Issues with the medical staff have been a constant at the club for the past decade and needs to be resolved otherwise we will be in the same position what ever league we play in next season

That has ruined my weekend. 3 points today and a home game v Saints could have seen us in such a strong position. Now the pressure is really on. But we’ve shown we can play sides up the league away from home and get a result so have to keep believing

Yeah we are getting better away from home for sure. Surely a win at some point is coming

That is going to be yet another apology from VAR. Wissa's knee was clearly in front of Yates and interfering with play. The line they put up seems to be focusing on the Brentford player on the far side of the goal area.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His knee and his arm are clearly offside. VAR have screwed us again and again this season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His arm can't put him offside, but his knee certainly does.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There have been plenty of offsides given by VAR where the arm or other parts of the upper body have been offside but the lower part not. Its just the inconsistent application of the rules.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't make the rules, but you cannot score a goal with your hand or your arm up to the tee-shirt line, above that, fair game. If you can't score a goal with the hand or lower arm then, by definition, the hand or lower arm cannot be deemed to be in an offside position.
As I say, I don't make the rules but that is what the laws say...

I agree but it you look at the way VAR has applied that this season its wildly inconsistent. That said his knee was off

We’ve lost 24 points from winning positions, our game management is not good enough.
Our substitutions aren’t effective, and never gives us an edge going forward. We score one, but seldom go for the second.
Navas made one world class save, and was beaten by two he should have saved, who’d be a keeper ??
This performance, which was pretty decent throughout, sums up our season, nearly but not quite. I actually think is how it will end up on the final day,
Today was massive for us, even a point would have changed the picture of not going back into the bottom 3, but to lose again so deep into added time is very damaging.
Southampton is another huge game, but even 3 points against the Saints isn’t going to be enough, maybe a point at Chelsea and even one at Palace, but realistically nil from the Arsenal game, will give us 35 points, that won’t be enough, imo.
We need help from other teams, its not in our hands, so we must have to hope.

Gutted about the result, but if we beat Southampton we realistically need just one more win.
Now we have eight full days to work on fitness, getting some recovery time and to focus on securing those vital three points.
Great to see Kouyate and Yates back. Hopefully, Danilo and Johnson aren’t too serious.
A positive for the last game at Palace is that Henderson, Boly and Williams could all be back. With no more injuries we could finally field our strongest XI of the season. Plus, we’ve already beat Palace once…although they look bloody good at the moment!
We’ll be in the bottom three this weekend, but whilst we have Southampton in our next game…just look at the other fixtures:
MAN CITY v West Ham (their game in hand)
MAN CITY v Leeds
West Ham* v MAN U
BRIGHTON v Everton
FULHAM v Leicester
Let’s hope results go our way in the meantime!

Neco has a fractured jaw Chile, he's out probably for part of next season, so we won't be able to sell him..
The good news is we're still 17th 6pm Sunday, sp perhaps a win against Southampton + a point may be enough?
We will see

Cheers Bear - I hadn’t read about Neco.
Leeds look doomed! City (A), Newcastle (H), West Ham (A) and Spurs (H) on the last day.
Leeds have let in 18 in the last 5 games. They are currently on -24 GD to our -32.
If we beat Southampton we go above them 🤞
