Pre-season (preparation) has become such a crucial commodity in top-level modern day football and ours was beyond disastrous.

When ever-present Mount is struggling to stay fit, riddled with injuries season, unprecedented...That's when you know something has gone very wrong.
Mount is the barometer of fitness.

Overusage and fatigue, unquestionably a factor in his case as well. Cumulation of issues come to a head this season.
