It's ok to high kick an opponent now?

How is that Jota high kick not a red card for that ref?

It is comical again that Diego Jota, a Liverpool player gets away with a high tackle and the ref decides to overlook the dangerous nature of that tackle that left Skipp with a massive gash?

If it was the other way, Skipp would have been sent off - no doubt by the same ref.

They mention Skipp's challenge on Diaz, but that's a player getting the ball clearly and the follow-through catches Diaz, for which in a same incident few years back, Roberston caught Tanganga and he was only given yellow so that is a mute point.

We hit the bar 3 times I believe, Allisson made numerous goal bound saves and Van Dyke make a clearance from goal bound ball.

I wonder who got away with stealing points today?

These inconsistencies from officials, specially at certain grounds need to be investigated.

For what's worth, I was a terrific fight back from Spurs and cross bars aside, they would have won the game today.

Either way, neither side is getting CL imo.

I think we are starting to see the demise of Klopp. It won’t be long until Liverpool are back to the Roy Evans type days of the 90s.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He will go down fighting though...In the process, he will fight with every official, so he can get his way and then moan about opposition managers doing the same...Th bloke is highly emotional just like the rest of them, with no sense in him
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s ok though he won everything

No complaints from me.

I doubt it. Forbes have us as the 4th richest club in world football these days, valued at over 4bn and rising.

Money doesn’t guarantee success. I think Chelsea this season are testament to that. It’s a manager and club in harmony and on the same page. If there was so much money available I’m sure Klopp would’ve signed centre midfielders before now.

Okay, well if you think we're going to go back to how it is in the 90's that's fine.

If we're making bold predictions, Spurs, as one of the most in debt clubs in the world, are going to start struggling financially with 3 years, and won't see CL for 10.

Quick check shows we won 8 trophies between Evans and Klopp (excluding CS and Super Cups).

I'd take that tbh!

Liverpool have the means to bounce back

Spurs don't.

I think most people understand this.

Sandy, if it’s a kicking motion i.e. trying to kick the ball, as with Jota, you won’t.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes you will Winston, studs up anywhere on the field constitute a red. Studs up in another players face should constitute assault. Mm
----------------------------------------------------------------------

There’s no mention of that in the laws of the game.

If you kick the ball, your studs come up because they’re attached to your boot. It doesn’t mean you should be sent off.

"SERIOUS FOUL PLAY

A tackle or challenge that endangers the safety of an opponent..."

It endangered the safety of the opponent (Skipp) evidenced by the blood pouring from his head!

Everyone knows that a foot raised at shoulder height is dangerous play if you are near another player...remember Mane vs Man City, shoulder high foot up into the face of Ederson He didnt kick him deliberately, it was reckless and dangerous. As was Jota's

So the laws don't state that 'studs up' is a red, then?

Same goes for Skipp on Diaz then no? dont get much more endangering than a potential leg break

Only a Varpool or Penited player could kick somebody in the head studs first and be let off with it. There are endless examples of such bias towards these two clubs.
