81 points

Looking at previous champions through 10-15 years, 81 points often won you a title.
Pep Guardiola's City set the bar so high, you must be perfect every season to compete with them, and be lucky to win it. Not happy to say this, but Guardiola's City is probably most dominant team ever in Prem. We will probably finish with 90 points, and it's mad that we won't win it. Can't imagine how it felt for Liverpool fans finishing second with 99 points

We won it with 99, 2nd with 97 and last season 92, is what it is best team in the premier league era hands down. Same time we were also making CL finals, unfortunately we came up vs the best CL team of all time twice in 2 of them

If you ignore how and why they are how/where they are then just gotta say they are the best prem team.

Stretching the word often there no? 81 points would win the league in just two of the last 15 seasons, three this century

Liverpool finished on 97 points, not 99

Chasing City for a league title isn't easy at all. Arsenal should be careful and reinforce their team in the summer, or they could pay for it next season.

This Liverpool team exists in the same era as the best ever team in Europe and the best ever team in the Prem IMO.

Still managed our fair share of trophies and with Arsenal probably now out of it, I doubt anyone else will cause problems for City going forward unless Liverpool get their act together next season.

I am absolute sure that Liverpool will get their act together next season and will compete again.

Some signings in midfield and defense and some sorting out the spuad necessary of course.

Fingers crossed. I certainly don't expect it to be as bad as this season.

I don’t think personally Liverpool can compete next season for the league, especially if they don’t make Top Four. They need CL money badly without it won’t be enough. I expect Arsenal to be there fighting the cheating Abu Dhabi petroleum team and maybe Newcastle will be there as well.

Not getting top 4 would impact future seasons, not this coming season IMO. Don't think it will hinder us getting who we want too much as we will probably be buying from clubs that don't have CL football themselves.

Thankfully, Arteta knows the environment that needs to be nurtured to maintain the intensity City inculcate in their competition. It is why we have a very young squad. And our targets continue to be 20-25 age range.
