In the past Arsenal have been justifiably accused of being talented soft boys when the going gets tough, well it was really tough today as the referee was very lenient with Newcastle’s skilful physical intensity combined with dirty tactics (I think he was a bit frightened of the crowd) - but they stood up to it. They rode their luck & struggled to withstand the initial onslaught in both halves but then each time took over the game with their quality.
Ødegaard was MOTM but Jorginho was superb, managing the game with his experience, special mention to Ramsdale & Xhaka & the new centre back pairing just worked again.

We were excellent. Rode our luck a bit in the first 15 min where Newcastle were all over us. Then Odegaard scored and from there on we were in the game and had answer to their physical game.

I was surprised we won. Was expecting to lose heavily.
So well done. 2nd place secured. Unfortunately too little too late as far as the title is concerned

Tbf...I thought u played really well and stood up to that atmosphere, first time for me u looked like champions...tough away ground, crowd on top, Newcastle came flying at you...but u believed in yourself and your talent shone through, well done

What a game and only regret we didn’t start Kiwior and Jorginho enough I hope it isn’t too late. Man City are due a loss and draw can’t keep winning forever.
