Chelsea v Forest - Match Thread

We are in pole position to survive this season. A win at either Chelsea or Palace should cement it.

Everton, Leeds and Wolves have only won two away each this season, West Ham have only won three. It is possible based on current form, improving play and returning players, that we can get a result.

Leeds v Newcastle
Everton v Man City
Leicester v Liverpool

Man City are aiming for the title, Liverpool and Newcastle for Champions League spots. There will be no rolling over by those sides this weekend (we hope).

If they all lose and we can conjure up a win, then we would be six ahead of Leeds and Leicester and four above Everton.

Last Game Overview:

Exhausting! Wow...what a game. Southampton were fighting for our lives and ran us close.

The Good: The return of Big Boly!

The Bad: Aurier and Lodi potentially missing the next game. Denying Felipe's goal (have a heart V A R!)

The Ugly: Our defending. We're getting the goals now, we just need to tighten things up.

Special Mention: Awoniyi, Danilo and MGW stood out. Danilo is some player! Everyone had a good game, but they, Felipe and Niakhate stood out.

Overall Record:

Currently we stand at W26 D29 L40

Injuries / Signings:

Aurier, Colback, Lodi, Scarpa and Shelvey (who cares) could all miss out.

Form:

Forest Away Form – W0 D0 L6 GF5 GA16

Chelsea Home Form – W1 D2 L3 GF4 GA8

Forest are 0.7 PPG over the last ten games. Southampton are 1.1 PPG.

Team:

Navas
Boly Felipe Niakhate
Aurier Mangala Danilo Lodi
MGW Johnson
Awoniyi

Prediction:

It's been 28 years since we have won at Chelsea, Collymore on the double way back in the winter of 1995. All before our spectacular fall from grace and their meteoric rise!

A draw wouldn't surprise me, Chelsea will still have Lampard (hopefully), but they were much improved against Bournemouth, who cannot be on the beach as they are already on the beach!

3-2 to Forest, the others in turmoil.

Followed by a 7-0 loss to Arsenal and a Leeds and Leicester loss. A massive pitch invasion with Cooper convincing Nketiah to come on a free transfer next season.

COYRs!!

I think we need a goal. Can’t see us holding on to 2-2? Hope I’m wrong though 🙏

Johnson coming on, can we create one more decent chance?

Yates going off for Kouyate, the ball is spending a lot of time around our 18 yard box.

Massive point. Great result, especially to come from behind. I think we could have got three points but can’t really complain. We badly need a favour from Man Ciry and Liverpool now 🙏

Totally agree, especially having the character to come from behind, makes quite a change. We invited an awful lot pressure but managed to survive it. Don’t see anyway this isn’t going to the last day, Southampton have officially gone, only two spots left, Everton and Leeds/Leicester to fill them hopefully. We may yet survive.

Yes, well done Notts. Great for the club, great for the city and absolutely well deserved when taking into consideration the points gap they had over 3rd placed Chesterfield. A mere 23 points.

They certainly didn’t do it the easy way, 4-3 on pens after 2-2 extra time, and of course the customary late equaliser, via a error by a keeper who used to play for them.
All in all thoroughly deserved, congrats.
