Anyone else think that Hamilton's problem is more related to mental strength and self confidence under pressure than talent or stupidity. I believe that criticism of Lewis Hamilton is strongly justified but I think that critics are missing the correct reason.
I think his fighting spirit has created the illusion that he has no self confidence issues and that any mistakes are the result of stupidity. I think more needs to be read into him throwing the title away in 2007 and almost throwing it away in 2008. To me his failure to win the title in 2007 and almost throwing it away in 2008 gives an insight into his mental weakness.
Also if you notice he very often lets the pressure get to him in the last minute of qualifiying and often makes a mistake.

your talking nonsense again.how many times has lewis made mistakes in quali this season?lewis has probably only had only 2 chances at most to get pole,and one of those times was in monaco.
so please list all these times lewis has made mistakes in quali?
and lewis wants to win championships,nothing else matters.and incase you hadnt noticed lewis had 0 chance of winning the championship this season.i mean considering everyone is saying his team mate is having a great season and he's nowhere near vettel himself,speaks for itself.

oh and alonso hasnt won a championship since 06,does he have a mental weakness too?did he throw away his chances of winning the championship in 07 too?
it was hamiltons rookie season up against a 2 times world champion dont forget.but he won it in 08,but it doesnt matter by how much,coz at the end of the day he won it.
