I’d go for this.
Not a thing we can do to influence it though, so just need to sit back and wait to see who we get!

If we win the treble in a few weeks (which we should do) the only tangible way we can measure progression/improvement in the team next season is progression in Europe, whether that's in the CL or more likely the EL. A favourable draw in the groups has to be the best chance of doing that.

Disagree Izzy. It is one measure but that's all. So many variables.

How else can we improve on this (near faultless) season domestically?

Not lose the decider like we did at the weekend? 😉
Think it's very difficult to measure against CL opposition. We are not bringing players through like eg Ajax, or when it looks like we might they are getting snapped up for pennies by clubs in the bigger leagues. Left to hoping one or two stay but more likely buying and hoping. Very difficult.
Not getting humped is a start then hope for some luck. Getting EL would be a more realistic measure, but CL we are likely to finish bottom

Celtic or Rangers being in the Champions League, is like Clyde being in the Scottish Premiership.
The money's nice, but getting pumped all the time isn't.

Well, we could be faultless for one! But so many variables we've yet to know - who is coming and going potentially including the manager, how much our opposition spend and how successful that is spent, how any newbies integrate, who our group opponents are and all the same variables applying to them.
Winning the league is the only critical one. Cups nice but meh. Europe ditto albeit keeping the coefficient up to get entry then winning the league to benefit, rinse & repeat is the only tangible way we have to materially improve our lot long term. Occasional fabulous profit taking on players is unlikely to change it.
