Why is City successful

It's not about money, it's all about prudent planning and wise spending.

Both can be true to be honest. We are waiting to hear what these financial breaches are but also they have the best hierachy in football and the best manager.

Even recent signings like akanji and alvarez look top dollar

Pretty much this.

Why can’t people just accept that none of this is possible without the Sheikh’s bottomless pit of oil?

Take aside the 115 charges held against City, the fact Pep is their manager, their excellent training and youth facilities, their planning in the transfer market - all reasons City are where they are today, it’s all not possible without being state owned by the Emirates
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bottomless? They declined to buy overated Kane at 200m, Pogba at about 90m, Cucurella at over 60m, because of price! United and Chelsea seem to have a Bottomless pit!

This

City's fans try and justify it by saying we'll Man utd spent x but they're not successful - just because one club has been managed poorly doesn't mean City have this genius plan.

Brighton are a better example of a club run with prudent planning and wise spending, as they also have to have to do succession planning for when their best players/managers leave due to not being state funded.

And played a whole season without striker because they couldn't afford Kane!

Different ambitions… Unlikely Brighton will ever consistently achieve the success seen at City because like it or not, Citys backing and approach has safeguarded us from losing our best players and managers. Brighton will always be susceptible to that.

Yep.

You can pump in all the money you like, it will never get you in a position like City's if you don't have the right people in place.

Conversely, you can have all the right people, you'd never get the consistent levels of success if you don't have the money to give the club a leg up to begin with, and to then hold onto your most prized assets both on and off the pitch.
