It'll be a shame if he goes. Seems like one of those players that could under just slightly different circumstances been a massive player for us

Think Arteta is being cautious with him, much the same way he was with Martinelli. ESR has always been blighted by injury, disrupted his youth career, ruined his time in Germany and has been a stumbling block in his Arsenal career. Seems a fair decision to give him a break, as a lot of it is to do with growing (Stevie G had similar issues early in his career).
Rumours that focus on him being a #8 only add to the feeling Arteta has a long term plan for him.

Interesting summer ahead, though. Wouldn't rule out him leaving.

Anyone's better than Viera at this point, but there's now way ESR was on Saka's level, just not true. Saka is a devastating player on his day with speed and strength. ESR is an young player yet to prove his worth, thats it.

One thing about ESR is that he scored goals, overall he is a player I REALLY don’t want to lose as I think he’s extremely talented, I would rather Fabio Vieira go on loan & keep ESR - but I admit his injury record IS a problem…
