I'm trying to figure out what might be going through the heads of the players tonight.
For the second consecutive season, it comes down to the last series of games, but the mood must be altogether different tonight.
The players have been through the grinder, on the end of a number of hammerings, again, failures both individual and collective all over the pitch.
They've needed to adapt to a string of opportunistic journeymen coaches with extremes of experience - from Jesse Marsch to Sam Allardyce.
They will have anticipated the significance of every error.
What will be will be, but I don't envy them. It's been an abysmal season from top to bottom. If we pull this off....but what am I talking about?
They will know the odds are stacked against them tomorrow. Some may think privately that the battle is already lost. Some may be in the process of ejecting already.
This fan is hoping - against all the odds - that the players involved will give it everything, that if we must go down, at least we go down fighting. They've got to treat this game against Spurs as the cup final of their careers. They've got to get their fuqqing heads in order!

I'm thinking Ayling, Coops, Jack, Bamford, Meslier,
and Dallas are thinking "how the hell did this go so
wrong?" I bet it hurts them the most.
I also think several 'new hires' have been on the
phone with their agents a while now figuring out where
they're going next. Hired hands and all that.
Basically, a spectrum of thoughts and feelings going
on right up to kick off. Then every one of them will
take on the thoughts and angst of the fans.

Agree Batty. Those six are/were invested in Leeds and the need to stay up, tho I think Meslier and Bamf, can’t get out of here fast enough. Happy to see the others stay, tho are they too over the hill to cope with the physical requirements of the Championship?

Now we're down I'm wondering who I wouldn't want to see leave.
The only one I can be certain of is Harrison.
Possibles are Adams and Robles.
The rest blow so hot and cold I find I couldn't give a stuff one way or another.

I would love to know what happened at half-time against Palace. That was the moment the team died. We haven’t looked like winning since then.
