I stayed in to watch the match, knowing we needed a miracle and also knowing, in heart of hearts that we just weren't going to be good enough.
When everything depends on this match, it speaks volumes what Sam really thought of Summerville, Gnonto and Rutter.
With a heavily defensively laden team to conceded after 90 seconds was suicidal.
We could not get back into it because we just dont have the quality.
Poor signings, poor management, poor ownership, just utterly thrown away a gift Bielsa gave us, promotion, 9th, super exciting team, over-performing and a reconnection with the city.
Without that man the players that brought us up are a shadow of themselves.
The Bielsa players know how much effort they put in to get up, the Marsch players don't really understand.
Earlier in season I said we might be in a relegation fight, it was pooh poohed, but anyone could see these signings were poor and week after week we just weren't good enough.
It's so hard to see because we were treated to so much better under Bielsa BUT, I didn't even really care today.
Why?
Because we just dont deserve to stay up, we don't have enough quality, we don't play well enough, and we have an owner, who, like the Cellino sons wearing Leeds shirts whilst still Cagliari directors, has no real respect for this club and these fans.
Images of a shirtless Harrison low fiving the crowd contrasted with Summerville looking for an early exit down tunnel. Credit to Bamford for going out to applaud the crowd, I'm glad I never have to see Mackennie in a Leeds shirt again.
Oh Leeds, why do you do this to us?

The side Sam put out was a disgrace
Fighting to survive needing to win and he gives us that

No, the players were the disgrace. Conceding a goal in the first few minutes of each half was utterly spineless. They were headless chickens and totally clueless in the last third. Embarrassing from start to finish.

2 mins from kick off
2 mins into second half
2 mins after we pulled a goal back
Spineless

Welcome to the match thread Leeds v Rotherham.
Sorry guys just getting some pre season training in

They say you need to train as you play Earl. So best keep it real and get one up for the relegation 6 pointer at Plymouth.

If I'm honest I think a lot of the squad should compete in the championship
Needs improving in key positions. A defender who can lead, striker who could finish, a Pablo type in the 10

Definitely going are Harrison, Adams and Sinisterra…beyond that it will be hard to get any significant money in. The old guard are basically freebies if we can even offload them, then there’s the Forshaw predicament…keep or let go.

I can’t help thinking of the players we let go as not being good enough - Pablo, Alioski, Klich, Berardi etc - when we see the inept, extortionately expensive incomers bought by Orta. To what degree corruption and backhanders play a part in these irrational transactions we’ll probably never know but hopefully a new honest and transparent era will begin with an imminent 49ers takeover. Please Radrizzani, go now for the good of the club.

Agree with all in the OP - and all the condemnation correctly offered by all the above. Radz deserves all the brick bats he’s gonna get thrown at him.

I don't think it needs to be the fire sale of previous times
I'd expect Meslier, Gnonto, Harrison to leave. Maybe Bamford
But in Ayling, Robles, Dallas if fit, Cooper, Struijk, Wober, possibly Dramah you have a defence good enough in the championship
Midfield remains a concern and keeping Adams is probably our most important move. Forshaw when fit is a tidy option to have in an area we look sparse. We should bin Roca and need someone with composure on the ball to compliment Adams
I think we will be strong on the wing. If we keep Somerville and Sinesterra then with Gray coming through
Torn on Aaronson. He may come good
Striker a big problem. Ideally need a quality target like the Coventry lad then a back up as Rodrigo is somewhere in between a 10 and 9

Keep.
He is a good player and I don't trust the board to be able to bring in a player better than him.
I honestly don't see sini going. Who is going to come in for a player who is so made of glass.
