Scottish road trip

Hello Scotland.

Later on this year, my better half and I are holidaying in your beautiful country. We are starting in Aberdeen as she will be there for a work conference. We're planning on going from there, around the top of the Caingorms, Elgin, Inverness, Loch Ness, Fort William, Ben Nevis, Three Sisters, Loch Lomond, The Kelpies and finishing up in Whitburn where she has family.

Any hidden gems along that route to keep an eye out for?
