Would you guys have wanted Big Sam to have stayed on?

In a word.....NO!
His task was to keep us up. He failed. Anyone else would also have failed with only those 4 games.

Need a modern coach with fresh, modern methods now.

Wouldn't want big Sam even if he kept us up. now as for Mrs brown..........

Nah.

To be honest the whole thing was like Howard Wilkinson at Sunderland.

Despite how he comes across Allerdyce in his time was incredibly forward thinking and many of the stuff in terms of coaching, using data, and player managment he was one of the first to take a lot of it on board, there was a reason he was so successful in terms of what he achieved for a lot of the clubs he managed.

However as with all things he has come to the stage where he has been left behind in terms of what the game is, it happens to all managers eventually.

Wilkinson was the same at Sunderland, you had a manager who was at one time one of the best, most forward thinking there was, however by the time he was there he was an old man past it.
