No one seems to have asked people who actually know so thought I’d tag the Celtic fans on this one. How good is Ange? A lot of Spurs fans are underwhelmed by the appointment but most people that that have seen him work or know their stuff say he’s brilliant. I’m open minded about it because ultimately I want us to move away from the big name Charlie’s and let a project man take over that knows how to play good football. Are we getting someone decent or is this move likely to swallow him up? I’ve heard you Celtic fans were just as underwhelmed and he turned it all around fairly quickly so I’m wondering whether the same will happen with us.
How we can even think about turning our noses up at anyone right now is completely beyond me. We’re awful and by the sounds of it, we might actually be lucky to get him.
Can anyone in the know shed any light on how good he actually is?
PS - Sorry if he does make the move. It’s horrible losing a player or manager you love. Pretty sure we’ve got all that coming with Kane.
How good is Ange?

I really don't see why Ange has gone to Spurs. He's way better than the sh!tshow down there over the last few years.

That's good. He should make us better then.

Firstly I am not sure whether this Ange is a good manager or not and until he has had about 10 games its going to be difficult to judge.
What I will say is everybody has to start somewhere and needs to be lucky to get a big chance to prove themselves. Pep was not lauded as the best manager in the world when he first started he needed a start as well.
This guy might be great (probably not btw) but lets at least give him a chance.
A lot of fans loved Poch but what had he done before he came to Spurs?
We have proved that the so called "serial winners" have been no good to us whatsoever so lets give the guy a chance at least we wont have to be "grateful" to him for coming to our club and earning millions of pounds like a couple of the managers we have had recently.
I will be happy enough if he gives players a rocket for going backwards with 90% of their passes at least we might actually try to attack under him.
