about Kane at the moment from both the media, opposition supporters and lots of our own. Astonishing really that any Spurs supporter would contemplate selling Kane, even if he has only one year of his contract left. £100 million being bandied about, which in the context of modern money is frankly peanuts, probably only half maybe even less what Spurs will make in just one season from TV, Prem money, income from Stadium on matchdays, other outside interests like concerts, rugby, american football, go carting, etc, etc.
May as well just hold onto him for another season, and he may sign a new contract, or he may walk away for free. His call entirely. Whatever happens, eventually Spurs will have to play without Kane, whether it is next season, the season after, or whenever. But may as well get one more season out of him under a new manager, and let`s see where it goes.
I cannot really believe any Spurs fan would want to see Kane sold (Ted and Diamond aside). Why would you sell your best player, when you don`t have to?
I expect Kane to stay, and would not be surprised to see him put pen to paper under the new management. Exciting times on the horizon with Post. New manager, new beginning.

Sandy, it wasn't that log ago that you were demanding Kane leaves if he doesn't want to be here and also suggesting we should sell him because he "wasn't fit to wear the shirt" all because we'd had a couple of bad games. I'm glad you've come round from that.
For what it's worth, I think Kane is considering seeing out his contract with us. After that, who knows but I can't see him staying, particularly if we have another average year, which is of course a very real possibility considering the rebuild that is required.

The thing is also the club, and I mean the club is more important to me than any individual. That said Kane is clearly Spurs best player, so the club should be doing everything they can to keep him. But as I said, eventually Kane will go, whether to another club, or just retire having played his entire career at Spurs.
But always remember the club will go on, Kane or no Kane. And it will be here long after both you and me have departed.

Personally Eddie, I would prefer at least one more season out of him. No reason to think he may deteriorate after that, but he may, so Spurs will have had the best out of him, even if he walks away for nothing. I could live with that.

I am not sure Harry has made it clear he won`t sign. I think he is the ultimate professional, and do what is right for Spurs, himself and his family. So leave him to decide without all the nonsense media speculation from two bob ex players putting their oar in, just to try to destabilise our club.

It's obvious Spurs don't *need* to sell, but £100M is a lot of money to turn down for just one season, especially one with no European football.
It costs a fair wedge to have him on the books too, and the lack of CL gate receipts and prize money already means a hit to your revenues next season.
The best case scenario would obviously be to convince him to pen a new deal, but failing that and for the kind of money mentioned, I think it would make sense to sell now.

But this is the present.
