If they did, then you'd have been suspended from the league 9 years ago for the same offence of not paying wages?

Yes and your point is?
I'm calling for integrity and proper consequences for all.

Just seems quite strange that you'd strongly advocate for something that would have seen your own club, along with many others, banished from the game. There's only one set of people who are truly punished in those circumstances, and that's the supporters of these clubs.
Surely improving governance regarding financial issues in particular sports is better than just winding clubs up?

This article points to a sport in crisis as I read it. Fifth best team in the country not able to pay wages and facing a winding up order from HMRC. Wasps and Worcester both having been suspended in recent months.
The RFU surely had no choice but to suspend the Irish, huge debts and no way of paying them off as the investment wasn't forthcoming.
I am not sure what goes on that allows top flight to get themselves into such situations. You could argue that this isn't the RFU showing some balls but that they failed to put into place rules to prevent this from happening in the first place. I wonder whether the Union needs to look at it's governance so that others do not follow suit.

Strange that integrity seems a strange concept to you.
If we had better governance of sport, there would be less manipulating the rules and my club has been one of the worst with admin and dodgy owners.
If clubs saw that there were genuine consequences rather than Man City fiasco for example with numerous financial issues, but no real penalties, then we see less conniving.

I dont think this paints the RFU, in a good light at all.
Now a 10 team league, with nobody below able to step up.
3 great clubs probably lost for ever now.
This isnt good governance by the RFU at all.

As in so many areas of life, the root of the problem is greed and corruption. It’s as rife in sport as it is elsewhere in big business.
