Mendy > 30m> sold 20m KSA
Azpilicueta > 10m> Released free
Khoudibaly> 10m> sold 20m KSA
Chalobah> 30m
Cucurella> 30m
RL Cheek> 15m > sold 15m AC
Kovacic> 35m> sold 25/30m City
CHO (L)> 30m
Mount> 60m> sold 55/60m Utd.
Pulisic> 25m> sold 20m AC
Ziyech> 25m> injured
Havertz> 60m> sold 65m AFC
Lukaku> 30m
Aubameyang> 10m
Even at these values 400m players up for sale!
All are attractive at these rates.
If the club do move the majority of these players off the books, where will it put the squad ?
? 4 players in G/Keeper, Centre Back, M/Fielder , Out & out striker?
The squad will be overhauled, a new spine will have to be developed, ?
On the upside going forward, Poch is in.
The ownership will have ruthlessly culled the wage structure, which is not a bad thing.
But where will this put us in the race for a top four C/L position ?
Possible line up> give or take? 19 player + 4 to come in ?
Keppa, Bettinelle, + 1
Silva, Forfana, Badiashile,Chilwell,
Colwill, Gusto, James, + 1
Fernandez, Gallagher, Chukemeka,+ 1
Sterling,Mudryk, Madueke, Santos, Casadei.
+1 , Broja, Forfana.
? something like that?
Any ideas!
COY Blues, KTBFFH!
For Sale!

TLLl.
I just looked up sportrac .com
Agreed,
Koulibaly > loan > 30m still out on contract.
Cucurella, ? Loan or stays > 45m still out on contract.
Lukaku, > loan> 50m still out on contract.
Pulisic & Ziyech i reckon will get a better fee 20/25m
Azpilicueta & Aubameyang yeah 3/5m or released.
RL Cheek seems to be in the ball park 15/20m
Chalobah & CHO i would like to think that they can command reasonable fees due to homegrown, age, no massive contract outstanding.25/30m
Mount & Havertz, cant see the club releasing either for less than 50m each.
Potential sales of 220m > 250m
Plus with loan fees 20/30m all loanees.
Plus the club will sell fringe players 20m +.
The club has the potential to bring in 250m.
This is an issue with regard to funding 3/4 new players as the club will have to clear the 120m FFP loss.

I agree getting rid of the whole list will be an achievement.
But i do sense in this window, that there are a lot clubs who do require new players.
These prices are knock down rates, which will be attractive.
I think in the cases of Mount & Havertz the club will hold out for top money, as i assume the club would not be eager to get rid of either.
Yeah they may not get 60m each but it wont far off that!

They are knock down rates on what you paid for them but given the season they have just had, some of their contract positions and age, who will want to take the likes of Ziyech (30) for that sum of money or Pullisic with his injury record. Not many in Europe willing to splash £60m on Havertz and £8m a year wages, and few teams in Europe can afford Lukaku's wages, let alone any transfer fee on top for a 30 year old.
Loads of clubs will look to take these players on loan from you, maybe have you pay some of their wages if they are really high wages.

Yes I agree about the loans being the only way out for two or three of the top earners.
I don’t agree about Havertz, also in the last window PSG made a decent offer for Ziyech.

I disagree.
I think you're going to really struggle to off load half of those players on anything but a loan signing.
The other difficulty will be timing. Loans are often a late window thing. You wont want to loan someone out this week if you have a chance of selling them over the next 2 months.
If i am sat here (average fan) thinking that Chelsea will be desperate to off load players and that there will be a deal to be had, then any shrewd owner/DOF will be thinking the same thing, and knowing that the longer it goes on the more desperate CFC will be to get rid.
I may be wrong but i cant help but think that this will be a very difficult window for Poch. Yes he'll want players in and will have the resources to do so but CFC need to off load player to reduce the squad, to reduce the wages and to bring some player trading revenue in. If you buy first then that's an even greater risk and makes you even more desperate to off load players, weakening your negotiation position further.

I agree it will be a difficult window for Poch.
For the club, its really about the size of the hit they are prepared to take to get these players off the wage bill.
This window there is need for players, these will be cheap enough, it is only really Lukaku, Cucherella & Koulidbaly who have huge wage contracts outstanding, they are the first ones who may get loaned.
The others are not poor players, they have just run their time at Cfc.
i do not believe the club are overly eagar to sell Mount or Havertz. There is interest in both if they go they will imo fetch decent money 50m +

A bit like life for all of us right now, i think a lot of clubs, especially in Europe, are being very careful and considered withtheir spending. Budgets are tight and a lot of Europe look at the bloated premiership and see opportunity to pick up quality cast-offs on loan or cheaply

That maybe, there will be a mixed scale, at the end of the day all of these players are decent players & do have a value.
I think the club just want them off the wage bill.
Careful spending ?
Most of these players will stay in the EPL. Europe is not the market.
I think the issue them becomes how does the club finance the new acquisitions, it will be interesting to see.

Cfc are not the only club preparing significant clear outs.
